Walter isn't as smart as he thought. Well, surely he will be more careful about his evil plans in the future, then!

That last part was sarcastic because of what we've seen in Jupter's Legacy.

Also, George leaving was part of Walter's plan? That part wasn't sarcastic, I'm actually asking.

The exact limits of Walter's mind are hard to gauge, especially since he doesn't go around announcing them to everyone... but I doubt it was part of any grand political gambit. It would take a really farsighted individual to predict that Skyfox would be the only Union member to push the team toward political action. Even the idea that he seduced George's girlfriend to provoke him into leaving the team is a bit shaky.

(Also, since Legacy has Walter chafing at Sheldon for resisting any sort of political action whereas he wants to fix the economy, I... don't entirely understand why he opposes this development? Maybe he just hates Skyfox enough that all other considerations are secondary, and he didn't work up his own ambitions till later? Maybe he just wants the group to swing politically in the other direction? Maybe the TV series will answer some of these questions, because it doesn't look like the comics are ever going to.)

I mean since Walter is also a bigoted piece of crap I suspect it's just that the kind of political action he has in mind is more like the repulsive bullshit spouted by oxygen thieving wastes of space like the Republican party and the kind of nitwits who support them like Anne Coulter and the thankfully late Rush Limbaugh

As opposed to political action that actually helps people and has the goal of making the world a better place

Well, the thing about Walter is that for all his pettiness and murderousness, he seems to actually care about fixing economic inequality. I appreciate that idea as it makes him a little more complex instead of a straight-up Evil Von Badguy, but it makes his ultimate goals in the prequel series confusing at best.

This is heartwarming and everything but you're shaking hands with the guy who kidnapped the VP. Seems like bad optics.

But what do I know. A mob of people were chanting that they were going to hang the VP a couple months back and a sizable chunk of the country seems fine with that.

Also, yes I do hate that I accidentally compared Skyfox - the only one of these people that doesn't completely suck - to the MAGA mob. Sorry.

PS: Whose kid is that? Trading My Wife In For A Newer Model Man? If so, that's one very forgiving family.

It's one thing to hate your dad for leaving your Mom... its something else to let him die.

Not to mention the whole family quite publicly forgave him at the end of his arc. I think the five years of physical therapy was probably enough for the son to feel like amends had been made.

Wait, that IS the same kid? I was mostly joking because he's the only one with much of a presence in the prequels. I mean I know everyone has kids by the main series but it's weird to have a new kid pop up out of nowhere.

I went back and looked at the previous scans and he doesn't even look like the same person. Admittedly these are two different artists and the character should have aged but I'm not sure he's aging in the right direction since most people draw kids as tiny adults. He doesn't even have the same hair color.

Well, as you say, having it be a different kid makes even less sense. Chalk it up to limited artistic coordination.
