The rape of Sue Dibny was bad enough, but the part that hurt me the most was Ralph saying "I hope she fought hard." To me, that feels less like "I hope she got a few kicks in" and more like "I hope she didn't just let it happen to her, I hope that she wasn't passive in the whole affair." As a woman who has been sexually assaulted, I find that to be really demeaning and that's really just how I read it. So I really don't know if I can have Identity Crisis on my shelf because of that.
