A March solicit that'll probably have you all in seizures. Or maybe that's just me.
Taken from the YA comm on LJ, who took it from... well, someplace that doesn't have it anymore. OH SPOILERS. HUGE HUGE HUGE SPOILERS. I'M WARNING YOU.

AVENGERS: THE CHILDREN’S CRUSADE - YOUNG AVENGERS #1
Written by ALLAN HEINBERG Pencils & Cover by ALAN DAVIS
“Young Avengers” co-creator Allan Heinberg and legendary artist Alan Davis (Avengers Prime) team up to create an epic stand-alone tale that’s the perfect jumping-on point for new readers and introduces the Marvel Universe to an all-new team of Avengers. As a result of the Young Avengers' crusade to find the Scarlet Witch, Patriot has become Captain America, Hulkling has become Captain Marvel, and Iron Lad has become the Avengers’ new leader, Kang the Conqueror. But the future of these new Avengers is deeply rooted in the untold story of the Young Avengers very first adventure -- before the events of “Young Avengers #1.” The past and the future collide – and the secrets of the Children’s Crusade are revealed – in “Avengers: The Children’s Crusade – Young Avengers #1.”
32 PGS./Rated T+…$3.99
---
So, who else is horrified that we're not seeing Billy on that cover?
On the other hand, CASSIE STINGER YAY 8D
And the lady Falcon there is INTRIGUING. WONDER WHERE SHE'S COMING FROM.

Date: 2010-12-22 03:45 pm (UTC)Also, My Oh My, Hulking sure grew into that Captain Marvel costume quite nicely... *fans himself*
However, this is one of the worst and most confusing titles for a comic book that I have ever seen.

Date: 2010-12-22 07:03 pm (UTC)On the other hand: Wheres Billy? Has he become yet another victim of "Bury Your Gays"? If that's the case, I swear to god I will slip a nip! I will slip it.
This may be obvious, but...
Date: 2010-12-22 07:26 pm (UTC)I could see him taking his father's name.

Date: 2010-12-22 08:11 pm (UTC)Kate looks like Huntress
I love that Cassie is a red version Stinger, it's a nice nod to MC2
Teddy looks really good in that green and white Captain Marvel costume, I like that he isn't wearing the red and blue, the green is a nod to his past as Hulkling and his Skrull roots, plus it's the color scheme of the Kree soldier uniform. It really works for him.
I have this theory that Bucky and Falcon are Eli's brother and sister. He's supposed to have siblings who moved with their mom, Sarah, to Scottsdale.

Date: 2010-12-24 05:52 am (UTC)All the same, though, with DC freaking me out about Blue Beetle's health and now Marvel making me worry about Wiccan's whereabouts, I'm not going to be the happiest fangirl come March. Y u do dis, comics? D:
