Since nobody else is saying it anywhere else on the WWW. , Cap's costume looks good. And not only does it look good, it preserves the color scheme of his comic attire while still looking appropriately like it was designed in the 1940s.
Since both "superman returns" and "the dark knight" were boring wastes of time, I'm calling it right now that Marvel is going to take over Hollywood faster than DC.

People have known that for years and years now. Congratulations on calling it now anyway.

Marvel will remain far ahead of the movie curve until and unless DC executives get some actual control over their movie licences(as in, their own studio).

I thought that it was nice that they seem to have a British scientist in the "giving Steve junk" parts of the trailer. I wonder if the toy they released of Capain Britain means he'll appear in the movie too?

Looking good. I love the costume and Red Skull looks A LOT better than I expected him to be. They pulled off the look without making it look cheesy. Yay.

Hmmm. Neal McDonough is listed as playing "Dum Dum Dugan". He's played more than a few comic book characters..He did the voice for Bruce Banner, Green Arrow..He also did a voice in an animated Iron Man series..

Hmmm... I see a distinct lack of USMC representation on that faux-WW II propaganda poster.

So, do you think Sgt. Fury will be represented in the Howlers? I'm thinking they'll go the Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes route and have Nick's dad be the Howlers' leader.

And speaking of A:EMH-- how cool would it be if Hugh Jackman were to an appearance in the Cap movie. They wouldn't need to say he was James Howlett or Logan. Just have him prominently on screen and credit him as "Canadian commando."

Forgive my ignorance of military history, but given how things were back then, would there actually have been a platoon of white soldiers commanded by a black guy in WWII? Never mind one as publicly lauded as the Fury's Howling Commandos.

Every time I sit down to write down some sensible response to this trailer, I watch it again to review it with a critical mind, and... End up running around the room in tiny circles while trying not to make any high-pitched noises of delight.

Yeah. I'm just hoping this will be as awesome as it looks.

Unlikely (unfortunately). Honestly, the movie is going to have far less WWII stuff than it really should. The Red Skull won't even be a Nazi (I guess because they don't want to release merchandise with a Nazi villain).

I want to be excited too. And whenever I get scared about what could go wrong, I think of the SAS motto.

Another great thing i noticed in some pictures of the movie, they use Cap's first shield before he gets the round, indestructible one later. I'm so looking forward to this and Thor!
