And one with an incredibly, epically idiotic choice by Veil. 


Jenny's perpetually in a bad mood (not that I blame her) so this bit shows us that it's not her usual way of acting. This was really absolutely sweet.

Near the end, it shows her making a wise choice and accepting her Hazmat powers.

As opposed to her wise choice, Veil makes a very, very stupid one which involves... HEY, JANET VAN DYNE.

A couple of issues ago, she went along with a few of the Academy kids to track down and viciously beat the Hood. They filmed it and let the video get out on the Internet.

This followed the leak of the video where the Hood did the same thing to Tigra.

Plus instead of simply arresting the Hood, they let him get away and motivated him to get his power back after a bunch of kids beat him up.

So it's pretty much completely their fault that the Hood is currently out there collecting the Infinity Gems.

He actually already had the gem plan in motion before he broke out of jail. (See "Avengers" for details.)

There was an incident in the previous issues where she and some other AA students went out and took revenge on someone who badly traumatized Tigra and then posted the torture on the internet in video form.

Tigra wanted to expel them for their behavior, but they got off with warnings and I think some punishment, but I forgot what.

Although it wasn't just Veil who did wrong, she's the only one guilt-tripping over it.

It was in the Ant Man and The Wasp mini a few months ago, I think he's just supposed to have supposedly worked through his issues regarding Jan's death.

Which, I mean....Hank Pym + "Worked through my issues" = does not compute.

I wish he coulda done that without dropping the costume. Not only was it the best one he's ever donned by far, but I'd rank it up there in my top ten favourite outfits. Granted, I don't really keep an organized list, but it's really high up there!

Agreed. It was a super hero costume that didn't look super hero-y. I really wish they would have let Pym and Strange keep that scientist explorer of the unknown vibe they both had around that time. It gave them both a great, almost Doctor Who vibe that I really enjoyed.

They had some good moments with Hazmat in this issue. I guess that just leaves us with Striker and Finesse as the unlikable ones. I had wondered a few issues ago if they wanted us to like any of the characters.

Finesse had the spotlight last issue and became a little more likable. Oddly enough, she managed to turn Taskmaster into a somewhat sympathetic character.

IDK, it made me like Tasky better, but it still didn't do much for Finesse as far as I'm concerned.

I actually feel bad for her. She's desperate, inexperienced and feeling guilt. This isn't a good combination of factors when deciding on the resurrection of a human being. I hope things turn out well for her but I'm getting an expendable vibe from her....

This was a realy good issue

Made me like Hazmat for one. Got me to understand her more. I also loved the previous issue with Finesse and Taskmaster. Add issue 7 with Hank becoming Giant Man again, these have become my favorite issues. Except in this one.. I know Veil is trying to do the right thing and I like her but once again..there were just some stupid.."not cool" moments from her here. The trying to bring back The Wasp idea being cheif among them. Unless she possesses a good scientific mind, she shouldn't be playing around with this shit and could make it worst or rather, bring back Korvac, which I think is the obvious thing that'll happen consider.
