Never mind Vice-President, Pete Ross was actually President when Luthor resigned. In the US, it doesn't matter how long Pete was President or how he got there (just ask Gerald Ford), he would still always referred to as "President Ross" and have a Secret Service team to protect him. It's like DC would like us to forget it (unless its suddenly necessary for some story like during the New Krypton story when in a flashback we learned that it was President Pete Ross who signed off on Sam Lane's secret project/agency against the Kryptonians). Notice also how Lana Lang is no long treated as the former First Lady of the United States (and since Lex had no wife, she was the de facto First Lady for 4 years) over in the Superman books.

It would seem that, in the 'Axe Cop' universe, 'cops' are different from 'police'. Police are those boring guys who have to follow those dumb 'rules' and 'regulations' and stuff. Cops, on the other hand, only have three rules: gun > axe, no traveling in time and/or space, and flashlight/magnifying glass combos are a no-no. Other than that, the sky's the limit! And if you're an AXE Cop, you can do ANNNNNNNYTHING! WHEEE!

I always feel a little weird reading Axe Cop. On one hand it's pure silly awesome fun, on the other it's written by a six year old. I have nothing against kids but we've all seen what happens to talented childhood actors and musicians when they get in the spot light too early. I'm just worried that Axe Cop is going to kill Malachi's ability to be the great writer he has the seemingly potential to be since everything he does from here on out will be compared to what he did when he was six.
