A sister? Huh, the woman from the initial Red Robin storyline is revealled then presumably.

Looks sweet, though I hope that they allow the game to continue as a sandbox type deal once the storyline has finished, as this looks like a good environment to play in just on a crime by crime basis.

I still bet that the game is chock full of weak boss encounters with the big Batman villains, and that Dini will pretty much turn Harley into a chump yet again, despite the footage showing her clobbering Batman.

Those were seriously my big issues with the last game - That the boss encounters stank - especially the finale - and that the villains, save Joker, were so broad that they might as well have been written by someone who just started reading any of the Bat-series. Poison Ivy in particular just lost anything cool that the animated series had given her, and was just as dumb as the Batman and Robin movie version.

Also, not overjoyed that Dini is bringing up the old 'you make the villains as bad as they are' argument in the form of Hugo Strange, but hopefully, that'll make for a satisfying 'shut the hell up' moment from Batman.

Still, given the last game, and the Titan formula's capacity for making monsters, it would be interesting if Strange were tied in to it, somehow. After all, there's some considerable difference between what Dr Young originally intended Titan to be, and then what it actually turned out to be.

I'm still waiting to find out who though that a supervillian gehtto was a good idea and how that got passed by the city council and didn't get overturned as unconstitutional (not to mention suicidal) by the State or Federal governments.

Warden Sharp was elected mayor of Gotham in the aftermath of the Titan Incident, taking credit for defeating the Joker etc. because, heck, it's not like Batman would sue him for stealing the spotlight from him.

Since Blackgate Prison had been severely damaged prior to the first game (which was what got so many of the Joker's henchmen moved to Arkham temporarily so he'd have non-crazy folk around to follow his instructions), and Arkham itself was damaged following the riots and Ivy's Titan-mutated plants, the city council probably thought that moving the prisoners to a heavily walled-off, derelict section of the city would work in the short term while Arkham and Blackgate were rebuilt.

Whether Sharp actually intended it to be a short term solution or not, I don't know, but there were some plans for something called Arkham City as an Easter Egg in the first game so...

You mean the same federal and state governments that, after a massive earthquake nearly destroyed Gotham, they went, "You know what? Fuck it. Blow up all the bridges, put up squads of guards. Let the place rot?"

Okay, that *sounds* like Richard Moll as Two-Face, but I can't say I'm positive. IMDB says David Kaye is voicing Two-Face, but only as a rumor, and doesn't say who is voicing Catwoman.

Batman has had the "I help create these lunatics" thought at least once, during the "Turning Points" miniseries. The issue set after "Killing Joke" and "Death in the Family" had Batman concerned about a serial killer called the Garbage Man. Batman was worried that if he caught him directly, the Garbage Man would fixate on him like everyone else in Arkham. Commissioner Gordon points out this guy was already a monster, being a serial killer and all.

Aww. And when they said the new trailer was going to show footage of Catwoman, the last thing I wanted to see is Catwoman playing the role of damsel in distress. I can't wait to see what horrible fate Christopher Nolan will bestow upon her.

Actually, the music made the trailer even better for me--the lyrics and the tone seemed to perfectly fit with the story they're setting up.

Plus it helped me discover a new, kickass band I really love! :D

Looking forward to this more and more and just like when Arkham Asylum came out, I shall get the collector's edition as it'll be very much worth it. I do hope there's Robin in this one though. If not, then Nightwing. Maybe as a DLC deal, who knows. Still, looks better than the first one and this time you have a whole city to play in. Allows for more movement as well as more areas to explore.

Also, looove Harley's look in this one. I do hope the boss battles are better. Some in the first game made sense, like the Scarecrow fights, Bane fight, Poison Ivy fight. I was hoping for a one on one with the Joker as an endgame but yea. I'm hoping to mix it up with some of Bat's rogues in this one instead of always dealing with just..mindgames and what have you.

One more thing, wonder if Riddler is in this one. I honestly had fun solving all his riddles, so wouldn't mind doing that again, or something similar.

I can see why they went the route they did in Asylum--it's always been shown that Joker trying to take out Batman in fisticuffs never works for him, and when they do try to do that, like in The Batman, the fanboys pretty much LOSE THEIR SHIT, so they didn't have much choice besides augmenting Joker in some way.

He's using the cape to glide, allowing himself to free fall, and then pulling his cape back so that he can gain some altitude.

The trailer looks pretty cool, I guess, but I can see one basic mistake they've made already - the 'Heads or tails' line sounds pretty cool, I'll grant you that, but it makes no sense, since his coin is two-headed. There IS no 'tails'.
Also, question - I can identify everyone else in that 'wheel o' Bat-folk', but who's the blonde guy?

I saw the trailer earlier, and I think I'll be picking it up.

My only gripe (and I had this problem with the last game, too) is that, for some reason, Batman's character model looks VERY stiff to me. But that's not really enough to keep me from enjoying the game.
