Betrayal in the superhero community
Mar. 16th, 2011 11:47 am And here I present another Filipino comic I'm vying to buy when it releases in TPB in April. I'm so desperate that, since I can't attend the con it's coming out in because of my trip to America, I'm having it reserved and asking a friend to pick it up.
ANYWAY, I present to you something relevant to my interests and hopefully yours:

by the awesome Paolo Fabregas.
EDIT:
Since the photos don't seem to be showing up, I've got to find another way to post them. In the meantime, enjoy this trailer for the comic:
What I like about this comic is the characters; they're well rounded, down to earth, unnoticed fellas who are on a force, like local policemen, but no longer receive funding from the government. Still, they do their part to protect people around them.
Not that that helps any, since they get accused of a crime they didn't commit.
So far, we have Vis, Kid Kidlat, and Flashlight.
Vis is the older, more competent partner to Kid. His powers are as of yet unclear to me, but basically he's athletic and intelligent even though he's definitely on the large side. I looove how they portray him as any capable hero and don't theme his powers on his extra size. Because seriously, fat-themed superheroes annoy me.
Kid Kidlat is younger, fast and funny and down to earth.
Their boss is Flashlight, one of the older heroes of the FHL from when they were still important. He's sarcastic, a ladies' man, basically the street-wise secretive older man trope.
