A fun new meme has shown up on tumblr

asofterdcu takes the template from A Softer World and recasts it with DCU characters.... For these ones, it seemed apt to post the actual stips first, then click on them to see the asofterdcu version.

And these I can't find the originals of in the archives or the links, I'll try and mix and match them if I find them, but they're too much fun not to share!

It reminds me of the story (possibly apocryphal) about Hemingway, who took part in a bet to see who could write the shortest short story. He submitted a story of six words

"For Sale; Baby shoes, never worn"

and was held to have won the bet.

Yeah, his is great - also the first Gregory Maguire, and the last by Steven Meretzky. (He was probably referring to the movie, but Ironically, 'Fuck it, I'll stay here' is a pretty good summation of what a lot of the later books were like. Who the hell would WANT to leave Oz, if you had the option not to?)
