Vampirella?
Mar. 24th, 2011 01:29 amI can't find my previous Vampirella posts. Apparently we deleted the char tag. :/
Three modern Vampirella covers and two vintage ones. Predictably, the vintage ones are total crack. Warning: Contains cheesecake and weird alien mind control guys.

So... is that an evil turtle in the bottom left? Evil lizard creature?
Mike Mayhew

Bill Sienkiewicz

I really love this piece.

Vampirella has a flail, guys. She needs to have a flail all the time.

I think this may be the greatest thing ever. MUMMIFIED SPACE ALIEN MIND CONTROL GUY. YEAH. I've never read Vampi #65. What is the story here? I MUST KNOW.
PS. I posted something that isn't Pictures for Sad Children. Go me.
PPS. I feel like we need more vintage comics on Scans Daily. Vintage comics week? Vintage crack week? Vintage cheesecake and crack week? WHO IS WITH ME!?

Date: 2011-03-24 07:26 pm (UTC)Even in wine, it really only means "a year's crop" or "season's crop", it doesn't even mean a GOOD season, just a season.
It's like when Isaac Asimov (or possibly Ray Bradbury) was asked to identify "The true Golden Age of science-fiction" and replied "Twelve".
So if we were tasked to pick our favourite story for an age in our lives it might be a challenge, but you see why "Vintage" is a bit tricky to define. :)
