Hello again my lovelies at Scans_Daily! I am here once again with more Psylocke! Poor Bets needs more love on S_D.... :(

Also, I apologize for this, and I am probably the only one that feels this way....but can't the UXF get more females? Poor Bets needs a female teammate. Or something. X-23 is off with Daken I assume, and Domino is.....somewhere. If they could put another female on the team, who do you think would best fit?

Given the number of AUs with Zeppelins I can only conclude that we are massively unlucky not to have them, and are probably the only possible reality in which they do not exist.

(616 doesn't count, because Helicarriers. I'll take those over zeppelins any day)

That's because in every other universe Gunther Shultz ,a junior engineer for the Zepplin Company, noticed early on the flammability issues with the surface coating they were using. A few memos and a rather impressive demonstration of a sheet of canvas going up like flash paper convinced the directors to change the formula. As as result, the Hindenburg never blew up and public confidence in rigid frame airships remained high. In our universe, Gunther was out too late at the Beer House that evening following his fiancé breaking up with him. So the morning when he was going to make that important discovery, he was so blitzed he never noticed and the rest is history.

Was Dark Beast ever really that dark, or just kind of ruthless and brutal from having been under Apocalypse's thumb for years? Maybe he learned to chill out after having spent some quality time in 616.

He's pretty much like the Nazi doctors in World War II. Experimenting on still living people, etc etc etc. Even in the Marvel U he carried on doing it, as shown in Cornell's Dark X-Men miniseries.

Based on other materials released, this is the AoA Earth, hence an appearance by Nightcrawler, and how Dark Beast has a portal to it, since it is his homeworld... sort of.

It's not the true AOA, but a close parallel. And in the AOA, high powered Zeppelins are the human forces means of travel.

One of the things that has never really been brought up about the new X-Force is that the team is made up entirely of people who have had their bodies irrevocably changed due to the influence of evil people. Obviously, it made sense for them to join up and fight Apoclypse, but I wonder if there is more to it than that...

I once thought about writing a fic based on a similar concept, with a get together of those who are on their second or more actual bodies. Prof X (Brood), Storm (Space Whale IIRC), Captain Britain (Mystic clone), Psylocke (Body Shoppe) and Douglock (alien reconstruction) swapping stories. (Technically most of the original New Mutants could count for that since the Beyonder destroyed them completely, then regrew them from scratch)

I never thought about it, but that is true--Wolverine, Fantomex, and Deadpool were the part of the Weapon Plus program, Betsy had her ninja body shenanagins, and Archangel (and Wolverine, I think) was made into being part of Apocalypse's Horsemen.

Actually, is there ANYONE in the X-Men past and present who wouldn't qualify under those conditions?

It's like as Cyclops noted to Emma "If we excluded anyone who'd tried to kill us whilst under external influence, we wouldn't have anyone left on the team"

Nah, because then we have to let Cyclops on (Sinister testing in youth), all three cuckoos (Weapon Plus,) Mercury (for Predator X,) Pixie (Magik,) Anole (Also Magik,) Gambit (Apocalypse,) McCoy (Dark Beast,) Monet (Emplate,) Charles (multiple people,) Sunfire (Apocalypse,) Doug Ramsey (Selene,) Havok (Sinister,) Polaris (Apocalypse,) Cloak and Dagger (secret experiment stuffs,) Jubilee (vampires,) and Madeline Pryor (Sinister again).

And i'm sure thats not all of them.

Especially likely since there've been previews about X-Force going to the Age of Apocalypse universe.

The only thing is Dark Beast was never much for machines, he was exclusively a geneticist. They made a point of this when he was pretending to be Hank way back when, since there was a lot of stuff expected of him that he didn't know the first thing about!

Welp, I guess that's what happens when you're a scientist in comics, they figure you can do anything.

And that looks like AoA Sabretooth. Sweet. He and Bets can have a little Exiles mini-reunion. I always thought there was some UST between those two.

Probably ignored so Marvel could milk it as a cash cow when they needed to. In fact, I think they ignored that so they could use it as a '10th Anniversary' celebration a few years back and have subsequent visits in Exiles.

That what I thought at first, but I also could believe that AoA Sabretooth caught a whiff of that Betsy booty and came running. It's apparently been ten years since the last time we've seen the AoA(although if THAT'S true, shouldn't all the X-men be older oh nevermind), so this should be a "fun" reunion of sorts(looking forward to Wolverine meeting AoA Nightcrawler and Jean Grey)

I admit, I avoid X-books like Rodney McKay avoids citrus fruits, but have they upped McCoy's skill set? I always got the impression he was strictly a geneticist, with the expertise required to build the equipment needed to be a geneticist, but that over all, Hank was the more polymathic genius of the two.

Yeah, I know who Dark Beast is, but...here's what Wikipedia says about him:

While as intelligent as his counter-part, "normal" Beast seems to possess a larger spectrum of knowledge, as evidenced when Dark Beast was infiltrating the X-Men and became annoyed at the amount of knowledge the X-Men expected him to possess. This is due to Dark Beast specialising in genetics, while 616 Beast maintained study in multiple fields.

It's not that I doubt McCoy could do what Hank does, I'm just not accustomed to the idea of it and, thus, am curious if he's been given an official upgrade from the last time I saw him (more than a decade back) or if this is his upgrade.
