Hmmm, DC put out there solicits for August 2011 and one caught my eye in particular.

I am confused by the lack of Saint Walker on this cover. With how he was talked about it didn't seem like he was only doing a fly by cameo for appearances sake.

And who wants to guess on what the "shocking reveal" with Jesse is? My bet, we'll find out she's pregnant and her connection to the speed force is being drained by the baby somehow. Which wouldn't be too shocking overall, she and Rick have been trying to have a kid, it was a big point of a backup in JSA All Stars if I remember right.

The "problem" with Jessie Quick is that she's wearing that god-awful costume and isn't carrying on her awesome mother's legacy anymore. :/

Motto. I loved the Liberty Belle look and am still super mad about this costume change, which (at least in the books I was reading, namely the JSA books) came the fuck out of left field, like editorial said "Get more girl skin out there".

That said, I don't particularly care if she stays Liberty Belle, long as the speed's still in her powerset. And yes, the poor lady does need her some pants.

Maybe she is isn't not pregnant because the Flashpoint speed-force connection is messing with her timeline.

That said, I believe she's on the cover of that month's JSA as well, so maybe her announcement is related.

Whats more important about this cover is what Supergirl is wearing.

She's wearing shorts under that rediculous skirt. Ladies, gentlemen, those who do not identify or fall under those, Supergirl is dressing SENSIBLY (for her).

Why Dick is always drawn just as built as Bruce?! I swear, it's Reis' Bruce body in Dick's outfit. Why do they keep doing that?

Probably because Nightwing is normally shown as being about the same body-type, unless he's side-by-side with Bruce. He hasn't been drawn as the more spritely, dancer-like Nightwing for a long time, really.

Those are some fairly (not not all outlandishly) chunky looking Nightwings, but I'd say that Bruce is shown as being MORE chunky, whether Dick is with him or not.

Dick been shown to be a slimmer, more lithe figure more or less since his debut as Batman. He has to be solidly built to a certain extent (acrobats and gymnasts are very well muscled) but not musclebound. I'd say that this JLA cover has it wrong.

I think they don't want to confuse people that aren't regular readers. So. they usually end up making Dick look like Bruce would in the Batsuit. It's a little annoying.
