Welp, like we didn't see something like this coming from StarkBro (though, when did he stop looking like Daniel Craig? Before or after the artist switch?). Millar wasn't exactly subtle about it from the get-go, though it admittedly took him a lot longer to fire off that particular gun than I expected (I figured three issues from first appearance, then straight-up villainy). Also, put me firmly in the camp that this death will hold for about five minutes, tops.

I enjoyed the hell out of this issue. Slow start to the mini, but this was ace. And Carol faced off with the Ults version of her traditional nemesis.

Wow. Millar couldn't make her look much more incompetent if he tried, could he? Danvers has been holding the fort perfectly well since Fury went AWOL, although I'm not surprised Millar had her hit by a car.

Millar doesn't seem to be a fan of her, sadly, although it's not really incompetence shown; she had a pretty solid head injury and had just gotten up from where she'd been dumped after an attempted kidnapping. She was checking in with SHIELD on her headpiece saying she wasn't sure what was happening, she had blood in her eyes, and then boom.

My first thought was LMDs as well, but I wouldn't be horribly surprised if they did kill him off. It's the Ultimate Universe. They're about as shy about making major changes to or killing characters there as Robert Kirkman is.

Considering the fact that they're killing Spider-Man...yea...Nick Fury isn't that much more important than him so yea. Then again with it being so obvious, hoping Spidey's death ultimate is just a fake out and he either retires or goes into hiding or something. So if Nick there is an LMD, then Spidey's death needs to be a fake out.

But when Millar does it, it almost seems like he's trying to say sorry for being so cliche.
