With the summer blockbuster season upon us, teaser images for next summer have been released.
Here is one of the big ones.

Cosmic Book News has the teaser shot of the Man Who Broke the Bat (as played by Tom Hardy).

Now this is odd.

TheDarkKnightRises.com is now up an when you click the link you are brought to a black screen with some kind of chanting. Nope, it's not the Infinite GL Oath.

When you click on the black screen, you are then brought to a sound clip.

Just what the heck does it say?

Well, the folks at the Super Hero Hype Forums put the audio through a filter and a Twitter hashtag was apparently revealed: #TheFireRises - which is most likely the official twitter hashtag for the movie.

The site appears to be a legitimate Warner Bros. site as some of the coding on the page links to Warner Bros.

Looks like they traded in the wrestling max for some bondage gear. I guess that can work.

I'm really hesitant to judge anything based on the preview images, since the first photos of the Joker looked like ass and we all know how that turned out.

I kinda miss the Luchador look, but that mask looks pretty creepy--like it has pipes connecting to his mouth and nose, probably to pump in the Venom. :O

After years of seeing people add full luchador lips to Bane's mask, I'm glad to see they're going the other way and covering the mouth. I approve. I've always thought that covering his full face was the only thing that made Bane even remotely menacing, until the mask became full-on luchador, whereupon I've always found it damn silly. This looks a bit too Saw for my tastes, but I'm intrigued and await seeing it in action.

Alright. I'm just going to accept the inevitable and give up all hope for Catwoman. I don't know why I've come to this conclusion by just looking at this one picture of Bane, but there you go. She is going to suck.

Oh, I didn't say the movie was going to suck. The movie will probably be freaking awesome. I just said Selina was going to suck because Nolan just doesn't seem to give a care.

And I wouldn't count my prediction to be completely groundless. Has Christopher Nolan not demonstrated time and again that he just loves to have the female characters play the emotional baggage to the male characters?

Memento: Wife tricks husband into killing her. Death plagues the husband.
The Prestige: Hugh's girlfriend dies so he vows revenge on Bale. Bale's wife kills herself thinking he's having an affair.
The Dark Knight: Lady judge gets blown up. Rachel would rather die than be rescued and gets her wish granted. Renee Montoya is *&%$(*@!$ &@!(*$!)( $&#H∫¨™.
Inception: Cobb's wife kills herself which plagues Cobbs.

I can see why my fears are totally invalid with a resume like this.

Your Dark Knight one is wrong. Rachel was sure Batman was coming to rescue her and was trying to reassure Harvey in his final moments, Renee Montoya wasn't in the movie, and why are you even listing the lady judge?

Of course she was. They just changed her name and turned her into a bad cop in a vein attempt to reassure that it wasn't her. After all, how many officers were a part of Gordon's team that were female and hispanic?

Well, I guess she wasn't being honest with her line "But I don't want them to". She still got killed.

Just showing you that this film is about as woman friendly as a rusty metal tampon. Cause in the end, it's only the guys who come out on top.

What about Ariadne, huh? She proves herself to be the only one who figures out Cobb's psychological problems and to be the one who motivates him into saving himself because she cares about him. Did you miss out her deliberately because she doesn't gel with your argument?

Ariadne wasn't so much a character, but more of the "audiences" character. In a sense, her only purpose was to keep the audience informed on what's going on since her only trait is pretty much just curiosity and finding answers. When we learn what's going on through her, we the audience get a better understanding of what's going on. And that's pretty her entire role. Did the story really hinge on getting a character who can design maps when you could have easily written one of the other characters to multi-task it?

And even if she was a decent character, it still isn't her story. So don't expect any female centered stories of this calibre for some time.

Oh, don't undersell yourself. You came to that conclusion when you heard Catwoman was going to be in the movie.
