I saw Shanna seemingly on the cover of the Women Of Marvel Omnibus. I have yet to purchase it, but I assume she's featured in it? It's over a thousand pages long...and looks interesting.
That's the funny thing. I used to own this comic, and the first thing I thought of when I read Runaways was the Pride from this story making a return appearance.
Man, I miss Bret Blevins artwork. Yes, the poses here are pretty damn porny, but the first comics I actually collected (as opposed to randomly picked up in drugstores and Waldenbooks) were his and Louise Simonson's run on "New Mutants" and, IMHO, NOBODY has been able to draw Warlock (or Sleepwalker, one of his later books) right since.
And before you start turning your nose up at him, FYI he went on to become a 2 time Emmy winning storyboard artist for the DCAU, as well as his most recent sequential work being the decidedly NON-pinupy (that a word?) "Redwall" graphic novel in 2007...which I haven't seen, so I don't know who it stands up. Oddly, everything I've found about him online, including his personal blog and gallery site, all cut off at about that time. Lynched by mice..?
Hmmm, have to say I have NEVER liked his art, his New Mutants run being the second worst offender (after his Nightbreed issues).
Him being a success with Redwall doesn't remotely surprise me because I've always said he makes his characters (males in particular) look like they've evolved from some form of rodent.
What he has done and achieved since then is impressive, but as an artist I've never been able to forgive him for the likes of Gossamyr and Ani-Mator
