I've always liked this more human and lighthearted take on Bruce. He's a master detective, scientist, and martial artist, but he's still not a dick. He's serious, but can still see the hilarity or irony of situations and then go with the flow. I can't picture this Bruce saying, "This is MY CITY!!" Morrison has progressively been bringing a nicer version of Bats back.

This kind of story reminds me of the great Ty Templeton writing from the DCAU Batman titles. The issue where he has to take care of a baby all night comes to mind in particular.
