Launching a new webcomic

 And just checking if anyone is interested in taking a look? :)

A little horror, a little mythology. 





About a man, Juilo Sandoval (his name is actually spelled that way), who comes home after receiving news that his brother's body was found rotting on a trash heap in an empty lot. He attempts to investigate and gets himself caught up in the very messed up world of the 'Halimaw', the things that go bump in the night and leave bloody entrails in the tall grass.

Updates every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I already posted the third page but it shouldn't be up until later :) Hopefully by the time you read this post, it'll have come up already.

Not too bad. The word count could be lowered a tad, and I'm not quite sure the "kuya" was needed instead of "brother's keeper" or whatnot, but then again, perhaps this will be a bilingual comic.

Aaron "The Mad Whitaker" Bourque; however, after seeing the guy's name, I can't help but immediately think of Julio Scoundrél of The Order of the Stick. Maybe it's just me.

Yes, it will be a bilingual comic :) But only so far as the words that Filipinos don't trade for other words even if they could.
For example, as much as we could say "big brother" we still always refer to older boys affectionately as "kuya" even if they're not our brothers.

Okay, then. You might want to use ye old timey editor's notes for such instances, then. The web changes and mutates, and the rant at the bottom might not always be associated with the proper page.

Awesome so far! I'm actually planning to start a comic myself. Though I haven't gotten the bravery to post the first page yet.

Really like the art- I felt the placing of the writing detracted from it a little, it was distracting as it was a little hard to follow. I also think the last line would have more effect if the "I say" was part of a the phrase before.

But the story idea sounds great and I'd love to see more :)
