I remember another instance during No Man's Land / Cataclysm where Bruce was talking to Lucius while on the job as Batman, but pretending to be cavorting in the tropics, so Barbara added background noise by pretending to be a girl he was rubbing suntan oil on.

As much as I thought the DCAU pairing was squicky, this would have been a funny reoccuring gag in the Bat-books. And maybe Mr. Gordon could inadvertently eavesdrop on one such call, causing wacky hijinks to ensue.

Well, we're not losing it with the reboot. As a matter of fact, there have been MULTIPLE vague and extremely clear statements saying that Barbara's career as Oracle is intact, even thought two months from now she'll be swinging across the streets as Batgirl again.

Pretending to have phone sex while in the middle of a case (or live-fire combat situation) is another.

It's not even a matter of Barbara as Oracle or not, they Bat-clan is going to lose a great avenue of support.
