That's Marinna. Wasn't she dead? Didn't Namor kill her when she turned into that big sea monster thing? When did she come back and when did she turn into a goth?!?

And...was she resurrected without feet? I can see something that MIGHT be a foot in the knee to the fact panel, but in the second one there's nothing. Does she just have fins?

JP's boyfriend is still alive and hospitalized as of #2, but he's also about to be arrested as a "suspected terrorist", on orders from the Unity Party, which is basically turning Canada into a Police State, as they've also arrested the members of the Opposition and other "dissidents" like the Press.

...And that, folks, is why Canadians should be happy Harper isn't the Right-Wing Dictator his opponents accuse him of being.

There were dinosaurs in Canada at SOME point in the past presumably? Given she can assume the form of the likes of Tanaraq the great beast, a dinosaur seems reasonable.

Also, I thought Snowbird could only turn into Canadian animals. I realize that some T-Rex were found in Canada, but I didn't think she could go that far back (or do that long extinct animals). Has she done T-Rex before?

And I was so happy about it until the sexual abuse BS with Aurora in issue #2, now I'm probably going to drop the fucking thing.

I'm not crazy about Marrina's new look--what are all those green worms around her neck, kelp? Are they supposed to keep her hydrated? I thought that Byrne's original "sea pixie" look was just fine--but it's good that they're giving her more personality than just "ax-crazy Plodex chick".

J-P's boyfriend's fridging, on the other hand, is just pathetic, especially if where they're going with that whole Box thing is some kind of OMAC/Sentinel-type program. Been done, son, if you don't have some really different riff on the theme then don't bother.

I wasn't too upset about Kyle, since I knew he wasn't dead, but I was hoping this was going to be a "BTW, Northstar's boyfriend took a level in Badass Normal" type of hostage situation, not the "Northstar's boyfriend is going to be a bedridden prop" one that it seems to be shaping up as.

I never liked her before, but I sure as hell like her now. They gave her a good dose of Ellis' Machine Man. It works.
