Greetings, comrades. Some moments ago I had the chance to read the newest "first" issue of Daredevil and I must say it was a good reading as well as good to see Daredevil avoiding some of the Noir style that has plagued him for decades. The reason of this entry is to provide you with the best part of this new era for Daredevil. I am sure you'll like it.

The rewards of heroism.



I lived the detail that the guy who took the photographs is an homage to three of the best artists that worked during Daredevil's early and happy years.

I am looking forward to see more issues of this version of Daredevil.

Anyway I loved this book it was freaking incredible. I just hope punisher follows suit and has an amazing first issue. Matt taking out spot and kissing that chick was awesome.

We need the devil front lines in Fear Itself showing the other heroes and the Serpent how its done.

Marcos Martin is a danger to the comics community. A lot of people will be hanging up their pencils and pens for good after this year.

Matt had this really awesome swashbuckler feel in his costume, something that I seem to recall hearkens back to the character's origins and got lost in the past decade or so of attempts to keep Daredevil gritty and soaked in noir. Which could still work, but seeing him pull on the Daredevil suit, throw himself into it and have a good time in the process was really, really cool. Definitely loved this issue.

Seriously though I thought this was a great first issue and I am looking forward to where Waid goes with this take on Matt.

See? You can take a character in a new direction without rewriting his entire history.

You know, I have to wonder... in that picture, his cane is very obviously the cane of a blind man... so... I don't know, is that just me seeing it, though?
