Batman: Looks great, and Scott Snyder is writing it, this book is a guaranteed hit!
The Dark Knight: I'm not getting this book. I'm positive the writing will sucks, but I cannot deny I have always enjoyed Finch's art work and his spreads are always big and cool.
Batman and Robin: Man I realy love Pat Gleason's work. His style is so clean and timeless, also love the poles to the batcave totally reminds me of the old Adam West cartoon. Great touch
Batwing: I am not familiar with Ben Oliver, but holy crap that looks nice. This is worth picking up for the art alone. What else has Ben Oliver done?!?! I mean seriously has this dude been hiding under a rock. He is crazy good.
Batwoman: Utterly amazing as always
Catwoman: And I know I haven't been big on Catwoman over the last few years, but wow....... just wow. Love guillem march's style. He is going to be perfect for this book.
Detective Comics: I think Tony Daniel is a fantastic artist, story wise he is hit or miss from me but his art is generally solid. Well at least when he has someone else on inking.
Nightwng: BOSS! I mean damn does that look good. I was really worried, because I have not been feeling the new costume at all and have realy been mising the blue, but holy shit this panel rules! That is the biggest surprise to me, how much I love that.
Red Hood: This looks great, the bright colors really make it pop. I also like how the Red Hood mask now for some reason shows expression. Makes sense though? Nope. Also can I say I am really worried about the direction DC is taking Roy Harper. Jason looks great. I think this book will be great for Jason, but DC has simply been dragging Roy through the dirt lately. I'm a little apprehensive about Star Fire as well but i guess will have to wait and see.



Oh without a doubt JH Williams is upper echelon. The very definition of an S class artist. But I knew of him before hand I had viewed his many master piece's.

Ben Oliver just came out of nowhere for me. Seriously can anyone point me in the direction of some of his previous works or is this guy totally new?

Still think Starfires costume is showy but oh the hair effect is so pretty and much better than the oldfashioned mightymouse contrail she was rocking.

I hope that 'Hey there ^_-' look on Red Hood's face doesn't mean they're going to be an item though, ugh.

Well, Starfire IS supposed to be showy. As for Jason's expression...the man's shown to be almost as much of a constant flirt as he is a constant troll.

I kind of like the Buddy Comedy thing they seem to be having in those panels. Starfire is the attractive ass kicker (obv), Jason is the smartass magnificent bastard, and Roy is the straightman.

Ben oliver is worked on the first issue of ironman ironage, and that has being really great so far.

Batman does look pretty damn good. Between the really fun, dynamic art and Snyder writing, this is probably the Batman comic I'm most looking forward to with this relaunch that doesn't have the name Morrison on it. XD

The Dark Knight...looks amazing, and maybe with Paul Jenkins doing the heavy scripting, it'll come out on time. Hopefully we get the good Jenkins and not the "Sentry: Fallen Sun" Jenkins.

Batman & Robin--bringing in the poles and then going in a sewer sub? Oh yeah, this sounds fun, and I can't wait to see Bruce and Damian have some quality father/son bonding time. :D

Batwing I was thinking of picking up, just to try something a bit new, but that art totally cinched it.

Who thought Batwoman WASN'T going to look good? Seriously?

Catwoman...I have to admit, while I wasn't a huge fan of March in GCS, he's looking better here. I wonder what happened that made one whole side of her costume fall off, though.

Detective...that one's a maybe. Daniel's art looks great, and Bruce helping kids is always a plus.

Nightwing...that's what happens when you try to copy the man's style, dude. I almost wonder if it's a bit too hardcore--I guess Dick still has some of the Batman persona he needs to shake off.

Red Hood looks great, and I'm curious to see how Lobdell handles anyone. As for worrying about Roy being there...well, it's not like it can be any worse than CFJ or Rise of Arsenal.

Star was never slightly ditzy and naive. She was always strong and focused. That characterization was completely invented for a kids cartoon and has absolutely no place in the DCU.

The Batman and Robin pages with Bruce and Damien setting out for the day/night are surprisingly adorable to me.

I really hope we get a lot of good father/son stories out of this series that somehow manages to differentiate itself from the great dynamic Damien developed with Dick and Steph.

No. 1 thing I've been worried about. CfJ pissed me off. Rise of Arsenal pissed me off. Titans pissed me off. Now I see Roy has both arms but that's it. I want answers and all I've seen mentioned in regards to this is that Jason Todd has black hair again and Starfire's role in this series. What about Roy? They mention how he's the reject sidekick of Green Arrow and how these are supposed to be damaged characters. That does shit to inspire confidence for me here.

It's like someone decide that Roy is the druggie hero and should remain as such and still be the guy that gets little to no respect because of it. To hell with the journey he's been on from boy to man. How getting a daughter is what made him better. Gave him something to fight for and improve himself. How he finally made it to the big time as Red Arrow. CHARACTER FUCKING DEVELOPMENT DAMMIT! But no, someone just had to derail him, strip him of these things in such gruesome fashon. This is shit and I'm extremely fucking annoyed by this point. DC needs to have some damn credibility and not just reverse Cry for Justice, but bring back Lian and get Roy back on the right fucking track. I am seriously sick of this shit.

And the Riddler. Why is the Riddler Zsasz (if they're scars) or Loeb!Calendar Man (if they're tattoos)? Why the mohawk?

And Harvey. Jesus, Harvey. Why oh why does he look like a zombie out of a 1970's Italian horror film? That's not acid scarring. He's molting.

And Mr. Freeze! Why are we going back to the Super Powers Action Figure version of the character? Y'know, the loser they killed off before TAS made him an amazing character with all that characterization that no one in the comics remembered to use after that?

1. I don't have anything to say about Tony Daniel's Tec. I don't particularly like Daniel's art, and his writing is terrible.

2. Ditto for David Finch.

3. I like the art for Batwing, but I just KNOW Winick is going to give him a cliche, quasi-racist origin. Come on, it's Winick, he only writes cliches.

4. Batwoman, as always, is gorgeous, and is the only non-Gail Simone book to feature a female creator. I hope it will not be changed in ANY way from its original pan because of the reboot. This is the ONLY DC book I will be getting.

5. Catwoman art disgusts me. Winick should be ashamed of himself. There's sexy women, and then there is just objectifying and pandering. Considering the only thing he can describe about the book seems to be "sexy" and "dirty", I really just want somebody to slap him for his misogyny.

6. I really love the ART for Red Hood. BUT, I really HATE the Kory re-design, ESPECIALLY the Marylin Monroe-esque mole. Was that really necessary? I like the art, the shading, the linework, the expression. Oh, this art is so good, but the Kory's design is so TERRIBLE.

As for Batgirl, DC apparently thinks that Barbara is "more accessible" as Batgirl, which... is again, incredibly insulting.

Batwoman was a 'go' long before the reboot/launch thing was set in motion, so I doubt there's much that's been altered. In fact, the 'new' art that's unveiled has been around for some time now.

On Catwoman: Winick stated that in his first interview he said "sexy" about forty-five times, and it wasn't enough -- and that it was a "dirty, dirty book." Winick described her as sexy, dangerous, prone to stealing things and very, very smart.

So between that and the preview image, they're not even trying to hide the fact that they're pretty much turning Selina's book into a skin mag. That's the impression I'm getting here. God, I missed the 90's!

He doesn't wear make-up, his skin is permanently stained! ARGH. A skin-flap over Two-Face's scarred eye is . . . pretty much the opposite of what he usually has, an over-large eye . . .

Batwoman looks great, but Catwoman just screams STRONG FEMALE CHARACTER.
