Oh gosh. When I saw that poster alone, my eyes just got so wide. There I was practically lying down in my chair all comfortable like, and I had to sit up and get ready for the beauty that would be this trailer.

And it was truly beautiful. ;u;
That world as beautiful. The animation was beautiful. The music was beautiful. It was all just so fantastic.

So confident, skilled and gettin ish done. DC, take note. You have a whole Wonder family that could be use some Korra. (Or for Wondy, a return to some of her older stuff plus some Korra.)

That is just.... stunning! Absolutely beautiful style and lovely smooth animation. I only hope the story lives up to the visuals, and I luckily have no reason to believe they won't!

If the writing stays consistent from where they left off with the series finale, this is going to be incredible. I love the more subdued color palette and (slightly) rougher line work they're using. It gives it a much more mature feel.

Republic City is now called "United Republic", founded by Aang and Zuko.

The firebender in the poster is Mako, the earthbender is Bolin. Mako and Bolin are brothers. Mako is the brooding one (not as as much as Zuko), Bolin is the younger, goofier brother. He's kind of naive. Paboo, the red panda black footed ferret will be Bolins buddy, and is known as a fire ferret in the series. There's a new species of Lemur, won't see much in first 12 but play bigger role in second 14.

The polar bear dog is named Naga. And it's a girl!

Aang finds a herd of sky bison after the war!

Tenzin is very serious, but when his kids are crazy, he can be really funny, tries to be the "zen master" but loses his patience sometimes. His wife is Pema. He also has three kids (like his father) one of whom is named Meelo. One is Jinora, bookworm, oldest of Tenzins kids. Last is Iki talks a mile a minute and is really fun and crazy. All are Airbenders, but Pema is not.

Either Avon or Oman is the name of the masked man. His disciples are called Chi Blockers, who learned from either Ty Lee or students of Ty Lee.

THE COPS ARE METAL BENDERS. TOPH BECAME A WORLD TRAVELING TEACHER. TOPHS DAUGHTER IS CHIEF OF POLICE, no idea who the father is. They have spools on their back that release and contract metal cables so they can zip around the city.

There are also the arena fights that may or not be legal that have two teams of three benders (one of each non-genocided kind) fight against each other. For the arena fights they're bringing in mixed martial arts styles for pro bending, brought in professional fighter, influenced from "tricking" flashy martial art styles.

The music is supposed to be like if Chinese invented jazz.

I've tried watching... around three, maybe four episodes of the original Airbender series now. Including one a friend of a friend stated is their 'favourite' episode.

I can't get into it. At all. I love the art style and the fight scenes but I find the characters and their conflicts insufferable.

I'm really excited for Korra, though. It looks awesome and maybe, just maybe, I can get into this sort of show and enjoy what's shaping up to be an amazing visual experience.

Like most awesome things...it gets better.

The first season is the weakest and the most like a 'kids show'. Remember they were pitching to a kids network, so many of the original episodes follow a 'kids show dillema=solution=EVERYONE GET'S A MORAL' aesop format.

After they became insanely popular? Less about soap box, more about kung fu punch story. The ending of the first season ramps up. I havn't seen the second or third seasons.

Two words- Giant Koi Fish Monster.
