Really most awfully kind
Jul. 27th, 2011 04:53 pmAt a South London comics event last weekend, I came across one of the finest pieces of British comic creation I've ever witnessed. More subversive than V for Vendetta, more surreal than Sandman, able to down a tall G&T in a single gulp! It's QUEEN MUM ADVENTURES by David O'Connell, available for your viewing pleasure online here.

The story so far: Our intrepid heroine has accidentally reduced a betting shop to rubble with the help of CORGANTUA, a giant Franken-corgi.

The Queen Mum invites all the gimps, Sgt. McFist and a random guy she found climbing the wall indoors for a drinkie. But her imperial daughter shows up and is not best pleased:

Will the Queen Mum survive, or will Liz 2 lock her away wherever gin-soaked royals go? For answers, see the spirited LJ of creator David O'Connell (and do check out his other webcomic, Tozo; it's really rather good.)
If you like this as much as I do, you can also buy it from the creator's clever and lovely shop!
