That line made me cringe. It's a very unfortunate slip of the tongue, but Tigra should know better, especially after that speech she gave to Mettel and the freakin' body bags that are within spitting distance.

Avengers Academy and Avengers in general can qualify as para/quasi military

While she's their trainer in superheroics I've not seen her go through any training in military protocol, terms or anything such by herself. Haven't really followed the series all that closely so I might have missed it, but Greer's never seemed the type to go for that anyways.

there seems to be a lot of paramilitary speak, and with cap having lead the Avengers i would assume there would be a pseudo-military mind set... plus she was a member of a group called the Battalion... not sure if that was military-eque

A lot of people suspect the LJ attacks are really attacking the political dissent groups in Russia that use LJ to talk and organize. Some group that does not like them may be hitting LJ to hit them.

So if a lot of those Russian LJ users happened to try to come here, well, would't be surprised if those hackers might go after dreamwidth as well.

It's an unfortunate situation. Luckily for me I haven't used livejournal in years, but whenever it comes back up I'll try to download my old archives.
