With 90's Image, I'd agree, but to suggest that the company now is what it was when it started is preposterous. With the exception of a book like Invincible, I'd actually say the majority of Marvel and DC books are more violent without good reason, these days.

I was mostly being twee, and I'd agree that it's certainly progressed, but that cover up there doesn't say 'thoughtful morality play' to me. It says 'Titties and Hitlers!'.

Not that there's anything WRONG with that. Enthusiastic and fun trumps overblown self-importance. The preview for this title (if not this issue), however, left me kind of cold.
