Thanks to northstarfan and salinea , who told me about this, and twitter and tumblr for having the details easy to find.

This is Bunker (whether he's ALSO known as "Wall", the name he was first announced as, or this is a replacement name I'm not sure yet)






A shame the name is a little... unfortunate if taken out of context...

...though I'm not sure what the context would be. He is, I think, telekinetic, and I whilst I can see "Wall" being a decent name for someone who can create a wall of TK force, a bunker doesn't have the same zing to it.

And if Asgardian was thought to be able to be misconstrued, someone whose codename includes the word "bunk" is perhaps asking for trouble.

A few facts about him...

• known alternatively as “The Wall”
• real name is Miguel
• he’s gay
• he’s Mexican
• he’s Catholic
• his family loves him and is supportive (even threw him a party when they found out about his power)

He also appears to be something of a fashion victim, I'm getting a vibe off him that reminds me of the kid brother nephew in "Ugly Betty" here (The one who spent two seasons being an exceptionally camp (but nice) kid before actually coming out as gay in the end), in terms of VERY fashion conscious teenager... even if the fashion does make me think of the 1990's just a little.

Still, nice to see a gay male Titan and if I can elevate Dick Grayson to sex god status, whilst knowing that he once looked like this in public



I won't hold Miguel's overly fussy (IMHO I hasten to add) dress sense against him.

Wall was a much better name indeed, and now that Amanda's more of room divider it should be up for grabs. Not sure whats wrong with the civilian clothing (I thought freedom was about dressing the way we wanted to?), but the 'super' costume is just forgettable. Hope he survives.

Oh there's nothing wrong with the civilian clothing, it's just a little too... "fussily thought out" for my personal tastes.

When I was his age I wore whatever jeans looked clean and whatever t-shirt didn't crawl away under it's own power before I could grab it and put it on, so I may be biased. :)

The classic term is "I'll be in my bunk" when one sees an image which might lead one to... enjoy some personal time... REALLY enjoy some REALLY personal time. ifyouknowwhatimean? (eyebrow waggle)

"Asgardian" was actually Wiccan of the Young Avengers original codename, he used it for several issues and changed his name because it was suggested that if he was coming out, it might be better to avoid a name which could lead to ribald nicknames.

No it's really not, everything she says is pure Presbyterian, with the complete downer on anything suggesting frivolity or the inherent sinfulness of EVERYTHING. Catholicism has some of that certainly, but is as nothing compared to Presbyterianism.

Based on assorted comments, I've always assumed Sam Guthrie was Baptist, or Protestant at least (References to preachers and ministers rather than a priest etc)

The new continuity seems to wipe out Geoff Johns’s TEEN TITANS stories entirely, as well as the preceding YOUNG JUSTICE. It restarts Superboy and Wonder Girl, and makes the new Titans the first time Tim Drake has teamed with them.

Similarly, Johns’s Justice Society seems to have been erased with the idea that Superman, Batman, etc., are the first set of costumed, superpowered heroes on this planet.

Thus, two of the sagas with which DC's Chief Creative Officer made his mark on the industry are no longer connected to the current comics.

.... im not seeing it.... Bunker seems kinda of a stretch... can you give an example? or context?

As a "bunker" is an underground fortification, I can't quite see what bearing the name would have on a telekinetic.

The only other meaning of note is that a a bunk is a name for a type of bed and associating such a name with your gay character with going to bed seems to be a little weird.
