While I agree it's very "look, boobs!" in the layout, for someone lying on her back with big boobs and a firm bra, the top-spill and angles are pretty accurate.

Nope, that's always been his look. It's pretty standard detective though. Gray, short hair with a moustache and a raincoat.

They replaced him with a younger clone in the DCU, that's why he went to Marvel, where he can be silver fox and proud.
