Secondly hunh. This is kind of an interesting if somewhat OOC change for Arthur. I think it be funnier if his wish to abdicate the throne was based around the fact that he's been ousted as king a million times ("They dont even want me there anyway!!!")

Was there a punchline to the ordering fish and chips thing cuz if not thats kind of...odd.

I loved this issue, and am so mad that my LCS sold out and I had to get it on comixology. The fish & chips thing and the priceless looks on the faces of the other restaurant customers when he orders them was hysterical.

So did they mention in the comic if Aquaman and Mera are still married? Wait, were they even married before the reboot? Because they were married and then Aquaman died so they technically wouldn't be married anymore, but then he came back to life, so would they still be married or would they have to be remarried? Anyways, I'm just curious since the reboot seemed to negate or make changes to a lot of relationships. Like Lois and Clark aren't even together, a bunch of heroes that had kids never had them, and I heard that Flash isn't married anymore either. Are any married couples in DC comics still married now?

Aww. This looks cute. I love it when heroes do normal stuff like go to a restaurant or diner just to get a bite. Plus I'm amused by the whole paying in treasure thing. Loved it when Garth did it too at the start of one of the prior Titans runs.

It was pretty darn good. Aquaman has near Golden Age Superman-level powers (which I've always believed he should have always had). The general public opinion of Aquaman was forced and overwritten, but if you really go with the idea that these books are for new readers, and most new readers would have the Superfriends idea about Aquaman, it makes a certain amount of sense.

It seems odd that, after seeing Arthur playing the role of the king for the longest time that he would suddenly shirk those responsibilties. It doesn't seem like something he would do after seeing him time and time again talking about responibilities to two-thirds of the planet. Heck, he wasn't active with the League because of that in the same way Bats was a part-timer because of Gotham.

Still, I can't deny that this isn't promising. And the art is flipping gorgeous.
