[shrug] I like the sheer number of characters, and the self-containment (ideally) that comes from it being set in the future.
On one hand people don't want the reboots if they're going to jump in, and yet they don't want the book to stay the same if they're going to jump in. (And I'm not saying this to pick on you or kenn_el, above, BTW. Even long-time fans of the book have been having this argument for a dog's years.) Myself, I think the real problem is that DC's pool of fans is too small. They could solve a lot of problems by getting this book (and others) out where non-traditional/casual readers could see it.
But I doubt that will ever happen. I don't think these people know their rear ends from a hole in the ground when it comes to marketing.
Founded by girl geeks and members of the slash fandom, scans_daily strives to provide an atmosphere which is LGBTQ-friendly, anti-racist, anti-ableist, woman-friendly and otherwise discrimination and harassment free.
Bottom line: If slash, feminism or anti-oppressive practice makes you react negatively, scans_daily is probably not for you.
