i used to get spanked as a kid and i'm fine, sure i enjoy rough sex with men dressed in leather, but still.

on a serious note, i think there is a difference between spanking and child abuse. personally I don't spank a kid when he mis behaves (i hit my nephew's hand, but its literally just a tap, its more for effect than for pain)

i just don't think that people who spank thier children automatically makes them child abusers. (this of course is not counting brutal slaps, that is clearly abuse)
