Al Columbia: "Cheapy the Guinea Pig" (Zero Zero, 2000)

So I haven't posted in ages. Where've I been? Trying to complete book 1 of this. So here's something rare and out of print to compensate: Originally from Zero Zero,, here's some more Al Columbia to make your nightmares cry. This one's a one-pager, and inspired by something Vladimir Nabokov cut from LAUGHTER IN THE DARK. My apologies if the text is hard to read; I sharpened it best as I could.

Since no one else has posted on this I feel I ought to so you don't feel neglected.

Whilst I can admire his ability to draw in an appropriate style, I can't say this does much for me as a concept.

I was thinking only yesterday that I ought to say something about this freaky Cheapy thing - only I was stumped. It sort of simultaneously demands and defies comment.

So. Um... It's not very nice. Obviously. But I give it points for being based on a Nabokov concept and being self-consciously weird, because I dig those things.
