Date: 2011-12-21 03:09 pm (UTC)When they brought Osiris back maybe they considered that "using" the Shazam franchise, so hey moved Mike Norton to some other title and Art &Franco as well (which is a shame because you could make the argument that the Billy Batson and the Magic of Shazam book was the best ongoing Shazam title DC has ever put out) and true to the characters). Of course except for a horrible one-shot where Freddy was depowered by Osiris for no known reason and Billy and Mary literally did nothing but watch - and which Eric Wallace trumpeted as the just the "beginning" continuation of the Marvel Family storyline (which know now is going to be rebooted so the old DCU left the Marvel completely depowered losers). Par for the course though for DC when it comes to the Marvel Family.
