If he took over Uncanny, or they made a new big book for him, I'd be fine with it.

But for the love of all that is holy PLEASE don't pull Aaron off of W&TXM. I really don't care if Bendis goes anywhere else.

put him on his own creation, for fuck's sake, that's where he's good. You can't put someone with no repect for continuity on X-Men!!!

Was it not enough that he wrote the story that's dominated every single X title for the last half-decade?

Hmm I dunno whether to trust this or not - Bleeding Cool's track record lately has been totally shitty, right? (The Robins book that was just denied comes to mind, and there was something else recently that I forgot as well).

Yeah, they were off on the Robins thing--but they did get inside info on a LOT of the New 52, so I'd say they've hit about as much home-runs as they have struck-out.

I kind of hope not as I've been waiting for Liu's title to get back into the X-Men world... Not a fan of his team books.

Well, that's one title off of my pull list. Shame too. A rare instance where an X-Verse book is fun, and now it will be dragged into the muck.

Oh, it's not pulled yet, but if the news is confirmed, it will be. I've read more than enough of Bendis in my lifetime.

I'm uncertain, given *all* the X-Men there are. Could Bendis really handle them all, even spread out over 3 or 4 books with "X-Men" right there in the title?

One thing about Bendis is that when he decides he doesn't like a character, you will know it. Tigra, the Wasp, Wonder Man. Cold, man.

Considering that the Bendis Katamari rolled once in New Avengers: Breakout and is continuing to roll in Avengers now, I can't imagine that he could work with a cast the size of the X-Men's.

I don't think it's remotely realistic that the guy would take over ALL the books, though. That's bordering on the farcical - plus he's only even really written more than one book in a franchise when he feels like he's got a good reason - IE New and Mighty Avengers after Civil War, New and Dark Avengers after Secret Invasion, and Avengers and New Avengers now, and the latter pair is, from what I understand, basically sharing a plot. He also never liked writing Ultimate X-Men at the same time he was writing Ultimate Spider-Man, and his short-term runs on UXM and UFF speak volumes.

Plus, to say the guy didn't switch cast members or deal with new people is a little unfair, given other writers on the X-Men don't deal with absolutely everyone in a single book - And when they do, like Fraction seemingly tried to, it bogs the book down. Plus, Bendis did switch new members in and the like.

Well, I'm not taking it literally, I'm just saying it's a complete joke that anyone could possibly believe he'd take ALL of them. As it is, I'm pretty certain Bendis has pretty much had enough of being the 'flagship' guy anyway, given A - he's already spent nearly ten years doing that with the Avengers, and B - I'm pretty certain I've already read interviews where he states he's not too interested in doing another Avengers kind of run.

The fact that people complain about his run on the Avengers, though - and yet it's still Marvel's biggest property since he came in, really says a lot about the internet audience and what kind of effect they actuall have on sales, somehow. But I doubt he'd take Aaron's place in WATXM, since, again, that book is basically Aaron's, and he's leaving Wolverine shortly, anyway.

From: [personal profile] suzene, the Avengers books get pushed to the #2 Marvel franchise by the X-Men. So we're bringing Avengers dude onto the X-Books? No!

I don't really care if he messes with Cyclops' side of the map, but he'd better stay away from the school.

Why have we not given Bendis a Power Man and Iron Fist book and stuck him over in the "Streets" corner of the Marvel U with that, Daredevil and Punisher? Those seem to be the only books no one seems to complain about when he's on.

I don't buy it. WatXM doesn't seem like Bendis' style and Aaron seemed like he'd plotted some long term story lines through already (quentin's further rehabilitation, idie and brood kid's relationship, whatevers going on with Husk, etc.).

Between Schism and his run on Wolverine (Nightcrawler preaching to Wolverine, the whole Hell storyline, bringing back John Wraith just to kill him off again, killing off Silver Samurai and crippling Yukio again, and his whole treatment of Mystique) I won't be sorry to see him go.

I like both of them just fine. Aaron is a little bit sharper on plot but whatever. Negligible difference.

Impotent protest in favor of resurrecting Feral.
