Bunker, everyone's Best friend :D

One of the things I really love about the current Teen Titans series, is well, of course Bunker. But honestly, the over all character interactions are GREAT. I actually love them all. Here are just a few moments i loved, oh, and they happen to Feature Bunker! :D





BEST FRIENDS FOREVER! What I love about this besides the obvious is that, despite everything Kiran has been through, she is STILL Kiran. she maybe in the winter Solstice phase of her powers, but she hasn't lost the Light that makes her who she is.

damn now i want to see them shopping together! something about wondergirl talking about not having any gaydar just makes me smile :D

okay i am done gushing. i am really loving this series, and i am really loving Miguel.... :D and Kiran, and well everyone (also loving that they are drawing Cassie like a Brawler, girl's got ARMS on her!)

One thing that strikes me as WHY he's so good at making friends- no ulterior motive. He's a very heart-on-his-sleeve guy.

i think it's refreshing to have a genuinely nice guy in comics. he has some issues (lobdell mentioned heartbreak/an ex) so there is stuff to come, but right now, its just nice :D

Personally I am just happy to see a Christian that isn't being portrayed as an emotionally abused, closeminded arse.

Also I love the fact that WG has no gaydar. For some reason I am just imagining her a long list of dudes she was hitting on for years because catching on that they were gay.

Ok, it's not like there's anything really wrong with Bunker being everyone's insta-best friend, it's just that since he's such a recent character it feels inorganic, character development-wise.

I value kindness, friendship and compassion just as much as the next heartless bitter witch, but the poignancy is somewhat limited when no one really knows the character yet because he's only existed for six issues.

well, Lobdell did say that he was a fully develped character. He says he has an ex and heartbreak in his past, and maybe something about it not playing outlike others were thinking. but he's not perfect... i think what he is is the type of person who see's the good in everyone, hell when fighting superboy he told him he was wasting his potenitial by working for N.O.W.H.E.R.E. (that is hard typing... lol) there is still room for development, and i agree, it could get old fast if that is all there is to him. i just don't think that is all there is to him.. if that makes sense....

Oh, I'm sure he does have more to him, it's just that so far we've been kind of beaten over the head with Bunker's niceness. But as character flaws go, being 'too nice' isn't exactly the worst one in the world.

From what I've heard, a lot of mexican people dislike Miguel, for being sign of "ignorance to the mexican life style, ideas and culture". I wonder, do any of you know someone, who feels that way? I'm not Mexican, so I can't tell.

I personally think Miguel quite a fun :-)

I'm mexican, gay, and latino, and I Love miguel. I don't see ignorance here at all, people are different, even within a culture. miguel, and his group are thier own group. I see more ignorance in the haters

That's like saying that every ethnic character has to be some kind of caricature that's ALL ABOUT their home culture.

Miguel's Mexican. That's not a big deal in this comic, so far.

And personally I find that a /good/ thing. That we can have non-white characters whose ethnicity isn't their defining characteristic, so we can focus on their actual personalities and stuff.

There's a reason this is one of the only titles from DC I've been getting. So far, that reason is mostly Bunker. I really like Miguel... definitely one of the best parts of the reboot, here.

Bunker, Starling and the new Ray are my favorite new characters from the reboot. XD
