Also, Paul Levitz revealed more on the upcoming series in another interview. Things to look forward to:

1. Helena Wayne was 16 years old on Earth-2 prior to being stranded
2. Both Kara and Helena have been stranded on the main DCU Earth for 5 years
3. Kara and Helena parted ways at some point but remained in touch
4. Kara isn't Power Girl yet, but will become Power Girl in Worlds' Finest
5. Helena has been active as both Huntress and Helena Bertinelli for quite a while
6. We'll find out why they chose the identities of Huntress and Power Girl
7. We'll especially find out the story behind the Helena Bertinelli identity (five bucks says the Bertinellis were still on the main DCU Earth and were all still killed)
8. Levitz emphasises Bruce and Clark as their counterparts (probably safe to assume they're still related)

Pretty much what I expected. At this rate I'll have their entire story figured out before I even read the first page of the first issue.

To be fair, I can see where you would go there--in the face they do look alike, and considering the premise of the book, it wouldn't surprise me if we do get a revamp of the Anti-Monitor at some point.

he's also washed out because of the eyebeams so its hard to tell his colors, as well as those tubes he has on his back/ writst... but still.. the solicit should have given it away :D

With Peegee's costume--on one hand, I like that they're trying to break up the white a little more. On the other...yeah, I liked the \P/ on the first issue cover better.

What I find interesting is them establishing that they've been around for five years. It makes more sense on Karen's (Kara?) end--it's easier to swallow that she'd become a multimillionaire in five years. But, it also makes me wonder if maybe they'll establish that Helena's had some interaction with the Bat-Family to some degree.

she started in Gotham as the first issue stated, she HAS to have had contact with them... nothing happens in gotham without Bruce knowing.

Well, probably he doesn't know about her being some sort of relative from another Earth, but I see your point.

And now that I think about it, that could be a decent way of doing it--Helena in this earth was Bartenelli for about five years, had some interaction with the rest of the Bat-Family, but with what happened in Italy, she has to abandon the identity.

Aside from Jason Todd rising from the dead and wandering around the place of course.... And the Court of Owls for Lord knows how long...

Not to mention if she was operating as Helena Bertinelli for five years in Gotham, she would've surely run into her "father" at some point and I'm sure she would've known this. Otherwise, why bother cooking up a really good back story to go with your new identity if not to outsmart the world's greatest detective? :P

it would be interesting if she chose the more "Willing to kill" angle because then she knew batman WOULD keep an eye on her... you know like keeping her dad close in a way....?

Same here. I can appreciate it under the circumstance that it emphasised how comfortable she is with her body, but beyond that, I don't actually care enough about it to be upset over its loss. :/

for i think i miss the Booby window only because even that looks better than this insignia.... something about it just... eh i don't know... otherwise it doesn't really matter to me one way or the other... its just the costume itself... it has more color now though....

I know the entire reboot is supposed to make EVERYONE younger (though Bruce can still go through 4 or more Robins) but I really can't picture either Helena (either version of her) or PG (any version of her) as 21 (5 years on main Earth + 16 on Earth-2). They both seem more mature and older than that - even in the reboot. I also don't like making PG and regular Supergirl (who's what -17 or 18 in the reboot) too close to age. I know they are supposed to be alternate universe dopplegangers of each other but I always imagined that PG (Kara Zor-L) was what Supergirl (Kara Zor-EL) COULD become in a decade.

They actually stated Supergirl's age as 17-18? I thought she was much *younger* than that. :(

In all fairness though, Levitz said Helena specifically was 16 on Earth-2 and 21 now. I *can* actually see her being that young since she was originally 19 when she first became the Huntress pre-Crisis, and was 28-29ish by the time she was killed on COIE. I would however have trouble believing Helena being able to pass off for an adult during her late teens, even if she faked her birthday as October 1985 (which would make her 26 in real time) on her Helena Bertinelli passport; she would surely look much younger than that. (Then again, I get told by people all the time I look younger than my actual age of 25 and get carded regardless, so who knows).

Kara I think would be around the same age as Helena, but somehow I don't think age is an indicator of maturity. If they were trained from Day 1 of their lives to be crime fighters (or at least moreso in Helena's case), then I would think exposure would've certainly made them grow up a lot faster than what would be considered normal for other kids their age with a normal upbringing. :/

I can relate to that. I'm 23, but one time when someone asked for my ID, after doing so I asked them how old did they think I was, and they guessed 16. I get that especially when I grow my hair out.

But yeah, I can totally see them being young, but due to their experiences (Helena from training with the Batman, Kara from being a super-smart Kryptonian) feeling older in spirit.

Is it bad I'm hoping for this too? Not only did she confirm she is a cat person, but come on, reverse-gendered Batman and Catwoman. Who could resist? :P

I'm glad those ridiculous gold armlets are gone, but the asymmetrical logo cape is already bothering me.

Also not really digging the whole leotard with booties thing.

I'm kind of glad that the boob window is gone, but the symbolism of Peej on her hands and knees while getting blasted by some dude from behind is rather unfortunate.
