So the fight is on.





The cops arrive and Red Mist makes a break for it.













At the end, Hit-Girl attempts to escape via stolen police vehicle, but is prevented from escaping when the police captain steps in front of her car. Unable to hurt a cop, Hit-Girl ends up crashing her car.







"End of Book Three" refers to the upcoming Hit-Girl miniseries which chronologically takes place before this.

as far as this goes though... i kinda felt for Mindy in the end... not much... but enough to wonder what happens to her now....

other than that.... WOULD those nails actually have gotten stuck like that if he had thrown them like that? that was kinda...

The nails thing reminded me of the scene in the Hot Shots sequel, where Charley Sheen kills a bunch of bad guys by throwing a handful of bullets in their general direction.

It's a paraody movie. Have you ever seen the Airplane movies? Or the show Police Squad and it's movies? Hot Shots and Hot Shots Part Deux (the one with the aforementioned thrown bullet scene) are by the same guy.

They're funny movies. You should look them up.

At one point Topper Harley fires a chicken with a bow and arrow. At another point Rowan Atkinson has been kept prisoner in an Iraqi prisoner for years... Because they tied his shoelaces together.

The "GASP! *wince*" reaction of his rescuers in that scene always kills me.

It's unlikely they'd have stuck unless they went straight down a tear duct or something, but it's more of the shock value of something you know is sharp and pointy flying at your face. Anyone's going to duck away and freak out.

still... he didn't see a bunch of angry people standing there... just putting on the mask scared him... i guess though you can argue that putting on a mask shows that they have set a goal, or rather are "invested" in this... but that just seems too deep for this book...

whats really annoying is that this book seems to have SOO MUCH potential... but instead its someone's idea of a snuff porn....

Okay, the first book...it was flawed, but I could see where there could have been an interesting story.

This, though? ...Kinda feels like Millar was going for an easy paycheck.

Every time I see a scan of this or read an issue of Millar's current work, I just want to give him a thumbs up and say "Stay classy, Mark. Stay classy."

So...is Hit-Girl book gonna be released as a Graphic Novel right away, or will we get issues before a trade? I mean, it would be less confusing reader order-wise if her book came before Kickass 2 in TPB...no?
(yes, that end of book 3 at the end is bugging me)

Well, this is better than the shlock that's come out of kick-ass so far, I guess.
Not sure how I feel about Red Mist begging for his life. Sure it's nice to see him as the pathetic wretch he is, but it sort of diminishes Kick-Ass' decision to call an ambulance.
"It's been an honor to serve" might have been the only good thing to come out of this mess.
