Blah blah blah, smash smash smash, heroes fight heroes. Yeah, you know it... still some cutesy moments do come up every now and then. ComicBookResources has the preview.

Two behind the cut.

Experience wins 7 out of 10.

You're going to have to be sneakier if you want to catch Ben Grimm off guard, Sunspot. Johnny Storm tests him every other day with pretty elaborate pranks.

And what exactly are you aiming for, Hepshibah?

Is she shooting at The Thing and She Hulk with ordinary pistols? Really?

She's trying to be as loud and obnoxious as possible so Sunspot can blindside Ben, and it doesn't work.

So am I seeing things or is Heph running/jumping, whatever, locomoting boob first?

What experienced mercenary does that?

For that matter, what experienced mercenary with guns abandons a defensible location to engage a powerful opponent directly before the guns are empty?

Heph's been a soldier for almost as long as Ben Grimm's been a super-hero. She's got more experience than that.

Given that Heph is armed with what looks like a pair of standard 9mm semis, "defensible" is debatable.

Exactly. Against the Thing and She-Hulk, being a loud, flashy distraction was the best she could hope for. As Ben correctly deduced.

it's a comic and she's an alien, what they look like means nothing

It matters insofar as suspension of disbelief only goes so far. If you want to imply she's using souped-up alien weapons, you might want to show or tell that fact. Not just draw a couple of Smith & Wessons.

Wait...someone actually wrote Ben as the competent fighter he is and it wasn't even in his own book? AMAZING!

And when did Sunspot start flying?

There are so many times were writers give Sunspot powers he doesn't have. He's been flying, shooting energy beams, bein' invunerable. People see a glowing dude and assume he's got certain powers, I guess.

Huh. Did a little research before posting and it turns out Fabian Nicieza changed Sunspot's powers during X-Force so he could shoot energy and fly. Never mind.

For a long time now. Back in early X-factor, Gideon the External supercharged Sunspots solar powers to the point that he gained the power to shoot solar energy blasts and fly, albeit in a rather haphazard fashion.

Nice to see Hepzibah again. As for the shooting, it's a distraction, but let's be honest. She has no chance agaisnt either of those two unless she's hiding a BFG in her vajayjay or something.

As for Luke Cage vs. Namor in the water? Yeah... no contest. Cage shouldn't stand a chance.

They already went the fairly silly route of having Ben beat Namor underwater (though he at least is in the same general strength range). I honestly don't think anyone should be able to overcome Namor in his own element by brute force - the handful of opponents with a significant strength advantage would never be able to lay a hand on him.

No if they are smart and fast they can overcome Namor in the water. Also Namor has a habit of being arrogant when he thinks he has the upper hand. Besides, lets be honest here, it's not Ben's first fight against Namor. They have clashed numerous times, both on land and the water. So I wasn't surprised that Ben won it. With Ben and Namor it could so easily go either way.

However those inexperience in both fighting against Namor and fighting in the water would get mopped by him. So I'm going to be surprised if Cage wins that fight.

My god, talk about yawn. This is just like Civil War, only it's going to be an even bigger clusterfuck, because the X-Men and Avengers aren't all chummy like Steve and Tony.

What I wouldn't give for Marvel superheroes to actually fight supervillains ala Secret Wars instead of this constant internal conflict bullshit.

Pretty much this. It does just seem like a fairly simple 'heroes versus villains' thing is pretty much a lost art, given Fear Itself was, at it's core, heroes versus villains, and they couldn't get something as simple as 'bad guy gives people hammers, makes 'em henchmen, they fight, bad guy loses' coherent.
