The people in Kaine's Life part 1

Part of the reason this is awesome is because of Kaine's supporting cast. They're colorful, smart, helpful, and not side-kicky. They're really pushing their way into Kaine's life and Kaine can't push them out, and probably doesn't want to anyway.





Firstly, there's Aracely. Kaine found her in a storage on the docks filled with dead immigrants ): 


And then there are the brilliant Officer Layton and Doctor Meland :) 





Yes, Officer Layton is the guy in the last post, the policeman who was with Kaine looking for the bomb :)

And then there's Anabelle ;)

Dunno why Peter goes through occasional jerkass phases. Part of the reason why Ultimate Spidey and Marvel Adventures Spidey are great- they never do.

any character that's been around has a jerkass phase, Kain it's was the 90's, no in 2010's he's over it.For Spidey---everything after one more day but it is avoided in comics that never mention his social life or mention anything about BND.

Just leave El Casa de Araña and sleep over in the clone tent. It's small, it's not quite stable, but it is a happy place where people watch the stars at night and have smores and campfires and happy things.

While I think there's nothing weird with a clone being more interesting/fun/whathaveyou than the original, since they're not only their own person but also have all these interesting little identity issues and dynamics, this is rather good and Pete has sadly been a bit of a douche in his book.
Also, Spider-Man's angry brother trying really hard to be Batman, what's not to love?

I second everyone else; it's really interesting for a guy to realize that he isn't perfect, but he doesn't HAVE to be perfect, he can just try to be better and if he fails, he can always just skip the border and try somewhere else. That's a much better (and healthier) philosophy than 'OMG I must be perfect no one dies on my watch' Peter's got going now.

Also, WTF is up with that cop in the hospital? A man charges in cradling a girl so she can get help, and he POINTS A GUN AT HIM. Dude, I get wanting to question him, but considering that the guy personally carried her himself I'd say she isn't in danger. (And honestly, threatening panicking/scared people is not wise.)

Well Kaine does seem to be a bit.... well, not threatening, but just a bit, in this part. And IDK pointing a gun isn't really shooting, especially since he's a trained policeman. Maybe he was just being cautious.

Either way, it worked out... fine.

I'm a big Kane fan and so I've been puling this since issue 1. It's the only Marvel comic I'm reading regularly, although I occasionally pick up Secret Avengers for Hawkeye and Captain Britain in the same comic and I'm getting the new Man-Thing mini-series by the late great Steve Gerber.
