Looking forward to it as well--though it's going to feel WEIRD seeing that alternate world drawn by someone other than Adam Kubert.

"There was a sale on bicycle helmets at Target!" Seriously, though, this would be a really subtle way to "bring" Cass to the New 52 by casually mentioning that her daughter's now fighting crime in China as Blackbat or something.

Yeah, I'm interested in the book--Justin Jordan's "The Strange Talent of Luther Strode" was the best Image mini-series in years--but I can definitely see how it can be laughable.

And that Smallville cover...that Batman costume! Kinda awful. It's so weird since the design they gave for Superman was really good.

Anyone else laugh when they read that? Considering that Batgirl is no longer paralyzed and Robin is no longer dead, my answer to the question of, "What will the Joker do now?" is, "Probably something really bad that will later be written away by future writers".

So if future Damian!Bats is still in continuity, where does that leave Helena Wayne? Back on Earth-2? Still stranded on the main DCU Earth? I am genuinely curious. :P

I will say that if Damian and Helena are each other's doppelgängers (as weird as that is) and Helena eventually returns to Earth-2, it would be interesting if Helena decided to become Batwoman later on in her crimefighting career (and possibly an Earth-2 Helena Bertinelli takes over the Huntress mantle X3).

It's possible that Earth 2 Barbara Gordon could be well on her way to being Batwoman before Helena returns, if she does. Helena COULD just keep Huntress or maybe take up Catwoman. (Is it too obvious that I love that Earth 2 exists?)

I like to think that future!Damien is only in continuity in Morrison's world and that's it's not the set in stone future of the Bat-clan and that something Morrison will write later will prevent it from happening.

Many of these titles are interesting to me (enough to pick up). That's the first time I've been able to say that about the DCnU since it started (picked up a bunch the first month and ended up dropping most). A lot of it has to do with the creative teams more than the characters though.

Still think the whole Team 7 concept seems like warmed-over 90s Team Xtreme (hate Merino's art being wasted on it) and I'm going to stay far, far away.

Not only do I not see the point of bringing so much Wildstorm continuity into the DCnU (seriously, most of it's not worth remembering), the fact that Grifter's there, but was young and had *just started wearing the mask* in his current solo series is just... why.

I'm so thrilled about Snyder's Joker story. I just read his interview on the subject and it just made me look forward to it even more. I guess this feels the first story in a long while that will try to stress what makes Joker so horrifying instead of just having him be that. Not that there haven't been stories I've enjoyed from that point of view.

the DCnU has left me with a new experience. I don't think I've every hoped for the cancellation of books before. But some of the new ones they're putting out, I'm eage for them to end before they even start so something better can come out
