Baltimore: The Plague Ships - Part 1

The story begins in a town on the southern coast of France, where Baltimore continues his hunt for the vampire that killed his family. After clearing out the rest of the town, he pursues the last few to their airship, which then explodes as a result of a witch blowing it up with lightning to wipe out the remaining monsters in one stroke.

After being thrown from the top of the church the airship was anchored to by the explosion, the witch carries him back to her house and waits for him to come to...









Unfortunately the citizenry have a case of Marvel Muggle Syndrome, and promptly arrest Baltimore under suspicion that he might be as Evvvviiiiillll. They know that he killed the vampires, but they reason that anyone who can kill an entire town full of vampires MUST have something wrong with them...




Duvic shows up later, and it says a lot that in a series that contains vampires, zombies and evil magicians, HE is actually worse than most of them.

Time passes, and eventually rescue comes...

Yes! Baltimore! I really wish I'd discovered this series earlier, especially when they had ads like this:

Playing devil's advocate on this one, but aren't Nazi vampires also a bit cliche at this point (Albeit for different reasons)?

Also, Germany might be a bit to chilly for Red court Vampires.

The series takes place in an alternate reality where WW1 came to an early close due to an early outbreak of Spanish Flu/Red Death/Vampire-Zombie Plague, and since the action primarily takes place in the late 1910s these guys aren't technically Nazi vampires. They're Imperial German Vampires. :)

Though a warlock does show up in the next storyline though, who may or may not be a Hitler who decided to put his energies into black magic instead of politics.

Huzzah! This and Witchfinder have been truly wonderful.

The beach fight (you know the one) was amazing. As was the background detailing how Lord Baltimore went from army officer in the trenches to the ultra-badass he is now.

And Judge Duvic is a special kind of Evil.

Kind of wished that I didn't know what a Pear of Anguish was before I read a certain scene with him in the second story though. XP
