Yes, Virginia...there is a 616 Miles Morales

Yesterday, I posted in this entry that a 616 version of Miles Morales actually does exist and made his debut in the Spider-Man: Season One graphic novel. For those who are unaware, the Season One graphic novels are yet another series of various origin stories of various Marvel superheroes set in relatively modern times, with the twist being that these are essentially "expanded versions" of the original origins and thus, apparently, considered canon.

Anyway, it was brought to my attention that, when I said Miles Morales now exists in the 616 as a result of one of these graphic novels, perhaps I should put in a scan showing this. Seems like a reasonable request (especially since I couldn't link to it properly in the comments section) so here you go folks:

That's cute.
Part of me wonders if Marvel will ever actually do anything with a 616 version of Miles. I guess that can't really have him become Spider-Man since 616 isn't geared towards the radical changes that Ultimate is, and making him Spider-Boy or something would be bush league as all get out, but I would be delighted to see him turn up in possible futures as Spider-Man's eventual successor of something.

Whatever happened with Chat, anyway? Were the rumors that she was Squirrel Girl-MA's sister ever confirmed or proven wrong?

In 616, brief appearances as Anya's roommate in issues 4, 5, and 6 of Spider-Girl. Nothing else to my knowledge.

No confirmation ever on the sister, as Tobin's Spider-writing days ended prematurely. :(

That's too bad. Given Doreen's 616 personality, either she'd end up giving us all cavities *before the book even hits the stands* from how adorable her MAverse self would be, or she'd wrap all the way around and get into full-on Punisher territory... as filtered through MLP.
