Yay, Dr Thirteen! Though the numeral spelling of the name makes me wonder if it might actually be Traci rather than her dad... pfft, who am I kidding? Also, oh great, the brothers of Raven have returned. You know, the ones who had powers based on the Seven Deadly Sins who made people randomly have sex or get angry and punch people. Considering they aimed those powers at lead characters in THAT Titans series it's hard to tell the difference from their regular behaviour. Oh, and Pandora looks like a recooled version of the old school Dark Horse character the Ghost.

The New 52's version of Dr. Thirteen already appeared on ALL-STAR WESTERN. It's not Traci, it's an entirely new take.

hmmm you know, the only thing that always bothered me about Dr. 13 was that despite the fact that supernatural things happened around him all the time, he still didn't believe in them.... as messed up as flashpoint 13 was, i liked that it wasn't that he didn't believe in magic, it was he didn't like magic.

That could be the seed for an interesting take on the character, actually.

In the real world, there are a boatload of folks (some quite well-known) who claim supernatural ability, but are downright charlatans.

Imagine what the DCU (nu or old) must have been like, with people claiming to channel the lords of Order on public-access TV shows.

oh some one who goes out to differentiate between the charlatans and the real magic users would be interesting. But as he is he just doesn't believe in it....

Well, there is SOME justification, in a world with non-magical shapeshifters, teleporters, and (of course) Superman.

Now, not believing in aliens in the DCU? A bit harder to justify.

I love the character for that reason, actually. In real life, he would be my personal hero (I, too, ardently believe that there's no such thing as the supernatural), and in comics, I find the stubbornness pretty funny.

In Books of Magic, I think it was, John Constantine said that the doctor generated a kind of magic nufilication field that caused the majority of supernatural or paranormal phenomena in the area morphed into things caused by more mundane things.

Like if there really were ghosts in the places the Mystery Incorporated visited, but through their investigations they just turned into guys in costumes.

Can BATMAN and SUPERMAN survive these villains and protect the life of – Joe Chill

In my head canon, I thought it would be interesting to completely rework Joe Chill's character, imaging him as a former drug-addict who runs a group home for young orphans and troubled kids.

I'm sure the idea of Joe feeling intense guilt and wanting to redeem himself for the murders of the Waynes isn't a new idea, but I'd like to see it explored, and how Bruce would react to finding the man that killed his parents, but he would be utterly conflicted on what to do, as Joe is trying help others and make Gotham a better place.

Huh, I think this is the first time I haven't hated the DCnU Ivy outfit. It's still not exactly my favorite look for her, but at least it looks kinda neat here. (She's one of the few supes who don't bother me when they go nearly naked.)

Oh joy. Raven's sloppily retconned-in half brothers made it over to the DCnU. And are written by Dan Didio. Double joy. Now, I'd be more open to the concept of it was handled better pre-reboot but now... They're in a New 52 book written by Didio. At this point I at least hope whatever DC has planned for Raven, it's something actually new and half-way decent take with her character (I know, I'm asking for too much).

Speaking of Traci, I believe Lobdell confirmed that she appeared in TT#1 on Tim's monitors as the "missing , presimed kidnapped" girl.

Is the solicitation text for Batman Inc. #5 accurate? Because it doesn't seem to mention Damian in the future, is it because of issue 3 being held back or what?
I continue being utterly uninterested in Pandora, though Phantom Stranger does look like a cool title, even if it's probably just another of Dan Didio's dream projects like OMAC and probably won't last long.
Black diamond? Eclipso? Very cool. It'll be a little weird if we get an intro for New52 Eclipso before the Spectre though.
That World's Finest cover isn't great. I like the style but it looks like a pair of statues. I really hope this issue lets us see Huntress and Powergirl "outed," if you will, to the rest of the New52 since I want to see some hugging and so on. I also want to see someone lay the smackdown on Damian for being an annoying brat. Given the choice between scans of some hugging or a smackdown though, I will reluctantly take the hugging.

I wouldn't hold your breath for it. DC seem to have no real interest in bring the pair back. After all look at what happened when they first said that Smallville Nightwing was Steph.

Even if they did bring them into the Batman 666 continuity it would be just a punch in the guts and rub salt in the wound that they are absent in the New 52. Well at least to me it would. After all nearly every forum I see it's the same thing. People want Steph, Wally, Cassie and a few others back and DC is ignoring them while giving the same statement that they are looking for the right story to reintroduce them.

Otherwise, everything seems really exciting. And I like Azzarello's writing so the Wonder Woman solicit seems interesting (I don't know what the consensus is here, I heard a bunch of people don't like him but my experience has been generally positive).
