Kieron Gillen is gone from the title, and with him his focus on kidLoki with it, but now new chapters of tales of Asgard will now feature the Lady Sif.

and yeah i agree, its interesting... but i don't know if it can be CALLED Journey into Mystery without Lil Loki... that said, love me some Lady Sif :D

Journey into Mystery has been a title for Marvel comics focussing on all sorts of things since the Silver Age!

Yeah, I very much look forward to whatever that will be!!

Well, we all knew Kid!Loki wouldn't last forever, but at least Marvel's actively still doing stuff with the title. And it's a female lead, too.

Here's hoping that Kathryn Immonen's story with Lady Sif is maybe a little less confusing than her work with Hellcat and Pixie, though.

Aren't they using Kid Loki in that still untitled book with Wiccan and a few other teenagers?

Kid Loki will feature in a story in the Point One issue along with Wiccan and Miss America Chavez. Whether that will lead to an on going (as yet untitled) remains to be seen, although the existence of that story does indicate that Kid Loki won't be gone from the Marvel Universe.

#3 - I've wanted Sif to have her own book for a while. This could be interesting.

What was actually wrong with Immonen's Runaways? I thought it was easily the most solid the book had been written - and looked - since Vaughan and Alphona left back in the second series.

I enjoyed her Runaways much more than Moore's.

And it was a bit confusing like most of her work, but it wasn't as all over the place as her Pixie mini (which I still enjoyed).

I don't understand what went wrong with Moore on Runaways, but it made me increasingly feel like Vaughan, Alphona and Strain on colours were like a perfect storm of a creative team that just kept on getting better and better. Whedon definitely didn't get the team right, to me, and Moore was worse. I almost wish Yost had stuck around on the back of that issue with Molly at the X-Men's new digs in San Francisco, but Immonen was the best since Vaughan, IMO.

I enjoyed her Jubilee and Wolverine book too.

And there was something great and manic about her Hellcat.

I just hope Immomen can get her storytelling a little tighter. All of her stories are just way too quickly paced.

The characters were ridiculously OOC, IMHO. Karolina the lesbian grinding on Chase? W. T. F.? Whedon did way better than that - hell, even Moore's mostly half-baked run was more true to the characters. Also, they killed Old Lace, which is total bullshit. Thank God they brought him back in Avengers Academy.

It's not like Karolina slept with Chase, they danced together at a prom that was attended by four people. It wasn't even grinding it was just a bit of slow dancing.

Honestly it never really bothered me that Immonen killed Old Lace. It just never seemed like she was permanently dead to me. Immonen only managed to finish one arc, and Marvel decided to cancel the series before her first issue even hit the stands, it just always seemed like she had more planned like bringing back Gert in some shape or form. And if Gert was going to come back then I always felt like Old Lace would have come back as well at some point, Immonen just never got to write that scene.

And frankly their guest spot in Avengers Academy felt like an over complicated mess.

About time they gave Lady Sif something to do (outside of that one mini) since she reclaimed her body from Bad!Loki. Part of me is sad they didn't use Volstagg and his totally awesome brood of kids (particularly Hildy) who could use some character development. I'd love to see Hildy mixing it up with the Young Avengers.

Well I know Kid!Loki is too good a character to put away for too long, and I hear he's co-starring in most Thor and Thor-related titles anyway, plus the later Point One gives me hope.

And truth is, it feels really sensitive that they'd end Kid!Loki's main character run with the loss of his BFF, because if he'd gone on unaffected, I don't think it would have worked ;_; Poor Loki. I'm gonna miss Leah too.

And Sif. Is awesome. Nuff said.

I loved Lil Loki and to be honest I'm just glad that Marvel didn't try to push another author into trying to mimic or surpass what Kieron Gillen did with the character.
