This cover is awsome and its make me wondering a lot of thing. The last cover I was thinking of a plan for Rick to kill Nigan, he can send Michonne or Andrea to assassinate Nigan (it's my only idea for now). But when I saw the new cover the first thing I said was: Do Carl is gonna be in charge of Rick's group!? And that lead me to a another thing: Do Carl gonna kill Nigan (we never know)!?
Take a look at mini-Rick!Respect the new (maybe) leader...Carl Grimes!

This cover make me think about Carl in the first TPB,when he was scared, when he couldn't kill a walker alone and when he couldn't shoot. In that cover I realized that Carl is the only child in world who's growing up very fast.

Date: 2012-08-21 05:16 pm (UTC)Also, how can he be so cool in the books and I just want him to be zombie chow in the show?

Date: 2012-08-21 06:56 pm (UTC)Because in the books he's developed MUCH more and become a stronger character.

Date: 2012-08-21 10:16 pm (UTC)BUT.
The twins were very young, both parents died at the hands of zombies in front of them, and they saw them come back as zombies. Later on in the story, it's revealed that one of twins is understanding this zombie crisis as death no longer being a danger, since you come back, down the line, he kills his brother, thinking he'd come back normal.
Alot of that could've been averted if someone *really* helped them through their tragedies, and even after killing his brother, the gang decided to lock him in the van and fear him, rather than make him see that what he did was just wrong. They debate killing him, the adults, they debate killing him. Decide to make the decision later.
Over night, Carl comes into the van and kills him. Though no one knows Carl did it because Rick is keeping it straight under wraps.

Date: 2012-08-22 04:39 am (UTC)We can't exactly see what Carl is glaring at. He might be staring down a group of zombies. Or unarmed humans.
Can't speak for the gun proportions, though. To be fair, how many drawings of children holding modern day assault rifles can you find on google image search?

Date: 2012-08-22 07:01 am (UTC)Teenagers... well it depends on the character. It's good to have a young leader but they have to have a level head, and from what I'm reading, it doesn't seem like Carl's running on all cylinders.
Plus I still remember the big chunk of brain that got shot out of his head that got magically fixed into a graze.

Date: 2012-08-22 01:18 pm (UTC)Basically there was a zombie attack in the "village" that Rick and co. were living in and someone else was basically shooting off bullets left and right and one of them struck Carl in the face.
Carl shooting the twin (who had killed his own brother) was an unrelated incident.
