That would be such an awesome twist, if it was revealed that all the crap in the DCNU was caused by Superman and Wonder Woman dating. At least it would explain why Tim Drake was never Robin, which I'm going to ignore anyways, since I feel like it would be something that everybody forgets as soon as it's published. I mean if Scott Lobdell wants to contradict everyone elses' stories, why can't we do the same to his? You know what, I'm going to do that, from now on Scott Lobdell's (and Tom Defalco's) stories takes place in their own separate universe where all the heroes are just a bunch of young teenagers.

Of course he was never Robin. Steph Brown was never Robin. Dick Grayson was apparently only Robin for a year or two in his late teens (given early Nightwing issues establish him still with the flying Graysons at age 16), and Damien has always been Robin. This all makes perfect sense, and explains why Damien is now, apparently, the 'most iconic' Robin. *growls*

In my head canon, the entire DCnU is just an Elseworlds story, and the real characters have been living as they did before, in a parallel dimension. Sigh.

That's been my headcanon for a while. Just an elseworld story that we're focusing on for a ridiculously long time.

I wouldn't go as far to say that it's one really long Elseworlds story. I just think that some things need fixing, and that they should have planned it better. In fact, they should have started the New 52 in January of 2012. That way we could have had a proper conclusion to previous DCU. Also, that would have made the whole new time-line less confusing to understand; and a reclusive multi-billionaire playboy who is single and in his 20s, and has no one to accompany him, except his elderly buttler, adopting a 16 year old boy seems kind of creepy to me. Instead of Bruce adopting Dick "five years ago..." they should have had him adopt Dick say...
" six years ago..." (since it has been established that Bruce had been operating in secret a few years before Superman first appeared). That way Dick is given three years of experience and stays as the most iconic Robin. Finally, Damien is my third favorite Robin (behind Tim Drake and ahead of Carrie Kelley).
