Do you think that they knew what was coming? I guess so, because this is right before One More Day.

And also, you DO NOT mess with Peter Parker's girlfriends. Particularly not the ones who can control animals.



Man, I love the two of them as a couple. Too bad nothing ever happened with 616 Chat.

Considering you did such a good job for Sensational Spiderman Annual #1, what do you think of MJ and Peter Parker’s relationship?
"It was sort of dirty pool because I knew One More Day was coming. But I took the shot and it was great.

I don’t know if Peter Parker was the best marvel character to be married, and I understand both sides of the argument. When his marriage with MJ worked, it worked very well, but sometimes it seemed like people didn’t know what to do with MJ. Way too often MJ would be relegated to hostage or obstacle. Too seldom did she play the role of supporter, friend or nurturer. I thought it was possible to do all of that, and maybe it’s a cheap shot, but I took it."

Check out Fraction and Brubaker's "Immortal Iron Fist" sometime. It is one of my favorite things ever. Somehow Bru's noir sensibilities and Fraction's crazy sci-fi stuff come together into a fucking amazing superhero kung-fu epic.

This remind me of the Silver Surfer: Requiem mini wherein Norrin offers Peter a gift for helping him and Peter asks him to gift Mary Jane with the power comic for a bit just so she can know what it's like to have powers.

Though usually that would be a recipe for a supervillain origin, as they then would be prepared to do ANYTHING to get another taste of that oh so addictive power cosmic.
