Selina begins searching for where Stan the Pimp might be hiding her sister. She stops off at the apartment of a woman who used to be another of Stan's "girls" before a councilman put her up in a fancy flat uptown. Selina gets the address that Stan used to keep her, and then leaving, pinching the woman's jewellery as she goes.
Meanwhile, Batman is also on the case. Taking a break from terrorising the corrupt GCPD to try and rescue Sister Maggie as well. Have to say this for the writer, Maggie Newell, she's gotten the Frank Miller internal monologue down wonderfully. And this was before it became horribly cliched.

Later, Stan calls up the phone at Selina's apartment, with Holly being the one who answers while her older friend is out. Stan tries to talk the 13 year old into coming back to work for him again, while it turns out that the cop and his friend are listening in on the conversation from a van down in the street. They suspect that Selina is Catwoman, and the cop from before feels guilty for effectively turning her into a costumed criminal in his attempts get to take care of herself.
Selina comes home, and manages to grab the phone from Holly before she hangs up, and Stan starts gloating about how, since Selina left him and the nun seemed so sad, he thought that he'd take her away to make her "feel fine". Selina threatens to murder him, but Stan just hangs up before inviting her to come to the party.
Kyle quickly dresses in her Catwoman outfit to go to the abandoned theatre that the woman from before said Stan lives in, but Holly says how the same woman had been going around talking about how she was threatened by a woman in a cat outfit. She then pleads with Selina to not go in the suit, as she thinks that Stan might actually be setting her up.
The cop and his friend then quickly arrest Selina as she's walking down the street, on the basis that he wants answers and she's not going to give them to him while she's walking down the street. The cop wants to save Maggie as well, but Selina's attitude isn't helping him any. He tries to appeal to her, saving that she owes him for sending her to Ted Grant, but she says that she doesn't know who that is.
Reluctantly the cop lets Selina go, but the undercover cops who attempt to follow her to where Stan's keeping Maggie quickly loose her as she escapes up the side of a building. Meanwhile, Stan decides that he's had enough of Maggie's holier than thou attitude (how dare she look down on the guy pimped out and beat up her sister and a girl in her early teens!) and after faking a need for forgiveness, he decides to just throw her off a catwalk above the stage to her death.
Luckily, Selina is there to save the day... sort of.

Batman ex machina! Yeah, Batman happened to show up just as Maggie was falling, so he was able to save her, yay. Selina seems a might traumatised over possibly killing Selina (at least she thinks that she killed him, having shoved him out of the way to try and catch Maggie), blames herself for her sister being kidnapped by the pimp in the first place and runs off.
Note: Stan is dead (yay!). Stan is a kind of odd character for the most part. I mean, in addition to being a thoroughly unpleasant man, there are character choices made with him that I don't really understand. Like, what's up with his accent? And why is his skin white but his hair black? Does he suffer from albinism and dyes his hair. Very confusing.
