IIRC, The Green Skull was Super Soldier's nemesis in the Amalgam Comics.

I remember that, hence why I was expecting an irradiated character, rather than an eco-powered one. Kind of an interesting twist to see what different eras have as the predominant association for the color green.

Remender on Cap was the best announcement that came out of this whole Marvel NOW event. I really appreciate him doing his own take rather than copy what came before.

I just wish he had a better artist. JRjr just seems stretched so thin these days, and whilst this looks better than average from him, I really don't want the return on his contemporary 'box people' art, or his women with insane cheekbones.

Hmmm... it's a little odd, as it reads like a Batman comic, especially the panels where he refers to aching body parts in the third person.

Agreed. It's not bad, it just seems a little off for a Captain America comic.

Cool. I'm a little wary of the whole Dimension Z plot they're leading off with, and I still don't love Romita Jr's artwork, but it looks okay here and I find myself being pulled in by the book. If I wasn't already spending too much on comics as it is I'd probably pick this up.

Actually, I'm really interested in the Dimension Z plot. The only turn-off for me is that the issues are $3.99. I need to think about my poor wallet. T_T

Apparently equating Deep Ecology types to Nazis is a thing now? I was just reading on Wikipedia where some editor had apparently been trying to tie the Deep Ecology movement to a neo-Nazi mystic. It was subtle, but apparently some people really think that.
