The lady is in fact Mephisto, about to try to corrupt Matt's soul. Matt never had a dull Christmas in his life.

I'm suddenly reminded of Mephisto's more recent visit to a bar. *shudder*

I think I like this JRjr art more than I usually do. Admittedly, all the women seem to have a weird slightly elongated Joker-face, and that's kind of off-putting, but in general looks a lot less blocky than Romita's art has looked in recent years and I think the color here is much more suited to his style.

Ooohhh... I want the rest of this scene! It gets so good right after this ;) I love what Nocenti did in this run with Typhoid Mary--but also, to a certain extent in this scene with Mephisto--of showing how Matt can get "seduced" by his senses. It's sexy, but it also makes sense in terms of his powers (I think, anyway).

In these specific pages, I also love the way Matt (or I guess Daredevil) is just sitting there, "minding his own business," yet people can't resist telling him all their problems and life stories. I feel like it's a nice reflection of the run itself, in that Nocenti did this great thing of bringing Daredevil into the community, questioning the limits of the superhero when it came to fighting or solving personal and social issues.
