Uhhh, although the awesome Japanese Dr Light could technically work as coming for Solstice for some reason (being a physicist and all, someone with light powers could be interesting to her maybe?) I have a dread that they're going to use this as an opportunity to reintroduce Arthur "I love to rape!" Light instead.

Or maybe the creator of Megaman is dropping by with his awesome beard and Protomen soundtrack? Dunno.

And I have to admit that although I haven't been reading Teen Titans in a while, after Geoff Johns' run I kind of started reading it at intervals due to frustration with the treatment of the cast, but the fact that Cassie is wearing a version of Donna Troy's outfit is interesting. Though her lack of eyes is terrifying.

Every time I see Red Robin now, I'm reminded how much better that costume would look without the yellow straps.

If they do introduce Dr. Arthur "Rape rape rape" Light after making a big deal on how "toxic" other characters were...ugh godammit DC...

It may in fact be another new character with an old name. On the TT #17 solicit there was some glowing guy (alongside a nuRaven in a very...different costume for her) who could be the new Dr. Light with the "Light" part taken to the extreme.

Since, logically, Identity Crisis has been completely erased (No Atom in the JLA to have an insane wife, Tim's origin being so different he can't factor into the story) rapist-Light should now never have existed (and it if removes Brad Metzler's "masterpiecce" from continuity altogether I shall cheer loudly because at least the DCnU will have been good for SOMETHING), and hopefully we're back to the powerful, but just fundamentally inept supervillain, but that would require the DCnU to have a sense of humour, a sense of (even slightly macabre) whimsy, and frankly, I haven't seen a whole lot of evidence of that.

Nah, now that Identity Crisis is gone, they've got free reign to make Dr Light a whole lot darker, with tons of extra grit! I'm sure he's going to be a puppy molester or something now.

Dr. Light could be a soft drink in the 'New 52', and they're looking for a spokesmodel. I like Miguel's big gay hands!

I have been reading the book, and considering how Lobdell writes the book...I'm sure this new Dr. Light will be dangerous--with his power-set, he should be someone you would be worried about--but I don't see him being Rapey McRaperstein anymore.

That said, I doubt it's the Japanese Dr. Light contacting Solstice, since Lobdell's doing something similar with Kurt Lance right now.

I think "character" might be being overgenerous. She's barely risen to plot-device level so far.
